I just bought a pop on ebay that I already own!

I didn't remember until I went to add it to "My Collection" on the Funko app and the little crown was already blue

Whenever I do something like this, I think "I must really like that Pop! to buy it twice."

I’ve been gifted pops I own plenty of times. I usually smile and just say thank you. I’m sure I’ve also bought something I already owned but I don’t think it’s happened recently.

Pretty much, I always forget what I have and end up buying the same pop over again. Oh well just hold on to it until I can trade it or give it as a gift

Accidentally? Not that I remember, but I have on purpose a few times. I have gotten a few for box upgrades or an extra to be signed.

My husband was complete on the Dragonball line for the first 5 years or so. I used to be pretty good about knowing what I had bought and what I hadn't, but when there were suddenly chases, and variants, and different Kame-hame-has, etc I started losing track and brought a few extras home. Oh well!

yup! This happened to me! I quickly took inventory on the funko app. Now I check the app every time before I make s purchase.

Only once was it on purpose. I had an OOB Spike from Cowboy Bebop and was lucky enough to get another for $12 before he eventually shot up in price.

That's happened to me a couple times. Mostly with pre-orders and/or restocks/ It's easy to lose track of. Once we started cataloging pickups in the ppg account pretty much right away, Ihaven't made that mistake since.

I've had this happen with Soda presales, where I forget I had one on order with another site. Almost had it happen recently with a Star Wars Pop! that I forgot I already had, too.

I have done more times that I care to admit - just did it at SDCC as a matter of fact. I saw the Anakin I needed and then saw a Sabine and was pretty sure it was the same I had but since I bought the Rebels POPs so long again - I worried it was 1 I missed so bought her...turns out again. But that's OK. Now maybe I'll start a boxed set of Rebels LoL (look what I did to myself!)

Umm yea totally guilty… hasn’t happened in a while but I also have reeled in my POP purchases. Sometimes I did do it intentionally, however. I used to ship US exclusives to international Funatics quite often (a few times a week). So if I found some extra I knew someone probably wanted I would pick them up. Few times they didn’t end up needing so they got returned or donated.

Thank you everyone for your stories!! I feel like it’s a badge of honor - when your collection gets so large it’s hard to remember everything you have.

And yes I also agree that if you bought a pop a second time it means that you must really like that one!!
