The "Over The Garden Wall" soundtrack on vinyl from SDCC. I still have it and I still love it. Play it all October.

My first Mondo Funko purchase was actually this year. I really liked the Freddy Funko Maul and knew I needed it. Sold off a ton of my funkos that I don’t display under PPG and was able to get him. Totally worth it.

Was it the Bruce Lee Game of Death print? That was my favorite pick up from Dcon that year

First Mondo purchase was the Mondo Edition steelbooks for all the Disney movies they did a few years back. I got my hands on most of them. Great artwork!

The Mondo steelbooks are awesome too. I try to grab the Marvel ones when they come out every once and a while.

Re: What was your first Mondo Purchase?
My first was "The Little Mermaid" by Tom Whalen, which was released back in 2013. Hopefully the bug that is causing pictures not to display is fixed soon.

It's been years since I bought a print for myself or someone else from Mondo though. If it weren't for some Disney tiki mugs I wouldn't have bought anything from them relatively recently. I've pretty much been buying prints exclusively from Cyclops Print Works since they make the majority of Disney AMPs. Although since COVID they haven't released as much since they did the Disney Parks attraction series which kept them busy for quite a while.
If there's one thing I hope that comes from Funko's acquisition of Mondo it's that they'll expand the licenses for which they produce prints. There are a number of non-Disney properties that I would like to see AMPs made for, all of which are popular, but they get little to nothing made for them. I'm sure some of it is licensing, but plenty of it is not. The most recent example is that Mondo released a LP for Dirty Dancing today for the 35th anniversary. I would have loved an AMP for this. I don't collect LPs. Plus it's difficult for me to get excited about something like that anyway when I already have a copy of the soundtrack.
I'm so tired of seeing the same properties done over and over. We don't need a million Jaws prints. At the very least they could take a break for a while and do other things. In general they need to expand to other type of properties. They've been catering to a particular market for too long. Although if another print shop would come along and fill the void I'd be fine with that too. Companies always try to say that the market isn't there, but that isn't the case. Funko is a perfect example of this. Funko collectors were mostly men toward the beginning, but once they expanded their licenses the numbers changed significantly so that it was pretty much evenly split.

In-person, I've only ever been able to purchase pins. This SDCC was the first time I actually purchased some posters. A little sad it doesn't look like they'll be at NYCC

not sure which one that is but either way that is awesome. I love mondo records. Mondo in general I think are amazing products. My wife always gives me crap because I buy posters that just sit in their tubes for sometime. I later take them out and frame the so I can swap out other posters on the wall since there is only so much wall space.

Agreed I haven’t had any quality issues with Mondo, and customer service has always been attentive and responsive. I’ve always read it’s not good to keep them rolled for too long as it might permanently warp and be hard to flatten. Not sure how true it is but I don’t want to find out .

Haha never thought about that. I’ve been placing them in frames lately even if they are cheap frames just to keep them flat. I think I’ll make sure sure it’s swap them out the take them all out of the tubes. Thanks for being that up.
