Demon Slayer Mystery Minis

Great things come in mysterious miniature or pint sized packages, but which great thing will it be? It's all a mystery until you open one. Then the fun begins.

Demon Slayer Mystery Minis

Postby PopPChulo » Fri Jun 17, 2022 12:07 am

I mean there are so many demons and Hashiramas in Demo slayer as well as just a bunch of vibrant, colorful characters that I think they could really go crazy with the mystery minis for this specific license. I mean you see how beautiful the attacks are in the show. Definitely would like them to consider exploring this

This would be a good line to do. I would definitely have to collect all the Hashiramas

Great idea and would be a hit I think in the Blind Bag line. Need a mini Tanjiro Kamado for sure. :freddy3:

I’m on board. Would definitely buy for my daughter. These minis would be something she’d take to school and share with her friends. They’re all at the stage where they love anime everything. lol

Jesus my wallet. Part of me says YES BRING IT ON and the other half says please no. You have pops and anime figures of Demon Slayer. You don't need minis too XD

But yeah this line would look AMAZING in mini form. Similar to the MHA line

I'm kind of over the store exclusive ones though. It was a pain to finish sets when you need to find Hot topic exclusives, box lunch exclusives, walmart exclusives, etc...

I like the way they did it with like Ad icons where you got just buy the box at most retailers and none were exclusive except maybe a specialty series one where it's way easier to get your hands on it.

I think the last ones I went for were probably the MHA - it seems like they are moving further and further away from the mystery minis

I really just hope that the ratios aren't crap, would like to have 1:12 as the most common if possible. It would hurt if a case of 12 had 2 1:6 figures in them.

I saw a picture on one of the Facebook groups but now I can't find it again, but it looked like the ratios were not the worst but not 1:12 commons all around. The two 1/72s are recolors (metallic Nezuko and GITD Zenitsu). I hope these start hitting stores soon, I am traveling a bit around Labor Day and I hope to combine it with hunting for these :D

To add, I think I like the trend of the super rares being recolors (they did this with Jurassic World, My Hero Academia series 2 to name a couple). It does still add to the hunt of trying to get them all, but it also is a bit of a relief that you won't miss out on a complete character if you can't manage to find a super rare. Especially if they have any exclusives (which they haven't been seeming to do as much lately, other than the clear box Five Below ones that only have commons and sometimes uncommons).

Yes, I really like that I can get all characters/molds even if they have the dreaded 1/72.

Luckily these came out while we were in Minneapolis for a little getaway and we were able to get all except the metallic Nezuko! I stopped at an outlet Hot Topic that had buy 2 get 1 free and got some even though the box had a few missing. I thought I had gotten dupes of the regular Zenitsu and assumed that the rare spot was one of the ones someone else had bought, but then when we were putting them away and logging which ones we got, my husband noticed it was the glow one! I thought the blue electricity base would be rough like the GITD paint but it was just a little more opaque than the normal. Also his head was the rough part, which I hadn't thought to check. Always nice to have a surprise like that XD

I'm hoping we can catch a Nezuko in the wild since the prices are a bit high still for rares, but otherwise might just have to buy her to stay complete. I'm almost glad there aren't any store exclusives, since it can be hard to hunt for these in a smaller city.

I think they used to years ago, but I feel like it would be very difficult with product limits combined with how hard it is to get into booths these days, and if there were any rarities they would be hard to find.

I agree

Maybe if they did it as all 1/12s and then let you buy a whole case at the booth, that would maybe work :)
