Any one elese ever not have a box (yes I know shame on me) and have them just sign the actual pop? I did that with Felicia Day on my Supernatural Charlie pop and I am gonna be doing it this summer with Stacy Dash on my Clueless one. LOL

Personally, I have had some autographed - like Tom Hiddleson on Loki, Zachary Levi on Shazam, etc.

When I have a pop that means extra to me and there's a good opportunity, I definitely get the autograph. Not super often though

Autos, it’s the souvenir from my experience from the signing, but always myself getting it. On pops, it’s nice way to organize I probably have it in my collection already, so it’s a 2 for 1. But I wouldn’t say I do it all the time.

I like both. I have a small auto section as I don't go out of my way to get autos. Definitely love to get them when I can though!

Re: Autograph or not to autograph? That is the question!
I finally got a few Mike Becker autographs last weekend and was blown away by how approachable he is. Now I'm up to 5 total signed pops. Or should I say boxes. If I can I get them I will but I don't usually have a lot of opportunities to get autographs on pops. I've been a comic collector with a bunch of sigs but pop signing is new since I don't usually want to carry that much around with me. I hope to get some more if I ever meet any of the actors I like so we'll see about future signings. Especially since I'm not as willing to pay alot to get a sig.
So far I only have the box windows signed but I think I'd be willing to get the actual pop signed. I take most of mine out including grails so I'll have to really feel the moment and decide then.

I’m trying to get 100% of the Star Wars Rebels line signed. I have one Ahsoka and Zeb signed. I’m getting Hera signed next weekend. I like the experience of meeting the actors in person.

Not a big name celebrity, but autograph and remarque by White Knight artist/writer Sean Gordon Murphy. One of my favorite takes on Batman and the Joker!

Do you like autographs or without?
Do you have any autograph collections going?
I only like autographs that I can get personally for myself. While I think autographs are nice, personally, I couldn't buy a signed pop secondhand. Part of having signed pops for me is the interaction with the person signing because I only get pops signed that I have some kind of sentimental value to. Like I'm planning to get a Zuko pop signed by Dante Basco because avatar and american dragon were a big part of my childhood

I'm not really a fan of autographed pops. When I do get autographs it would be on a movie poster, comic book, or album cover.

If you love the pop and love the character then go for it. Nothing better than having those memories of what you love. Don't forget to get a picture as well!

At the top would probably be Brendan Fraiser's autograph on a Rick O'Connell pop. Other than that, would love to get MCU actors to sign the character they play but I have no idea how difficult that could be.
Brendan Fraser's autograph on a Rick O'Connell pop would be an absolute grail for me, great idea!
I think the OG MCU actors are going to be difficult to get, but the new and incoming crew don't seem to be to terrible....yet! But agreed, having the MCU actors sign their pops is definitely something I'll be doing it the opportunity comes up!
Brendan Fraser was at NYCC this last year....I sent my daughter who lives in NYC to get the Rick O'Connell pop signed for me. I sent her (3) pops and she had to spend all day there to get them signed........in the end we got Christopher Lloyd and Oscar Isaac as well. Pretty cool!
That is a day WELL spent!! I'm honestly jealous, what an amazing day she had, congrats to you both!

I'll occasionally rescue what I call 'homeless pops' - unboxed pops that are in bins at various events. If I see one that I can't leave in the bin, I'll bring them home with me. I've got a few that I would absolutely get signed by their corresponding actor, just haven't had the opportunity yet! Both of yours sound like great options though!

Re: Autograph or not to autograph? That is the question!
I used to collect autographs on comic books from all my favorite artists and writers so I totally understand the intrigue. My issue is with pops, the autograph can block the whole window (especially when writing quotes), and you can barely see the pops. I think if done tastefully they'd look awesome, but it's not something I actively try to get. I'd prefer signatures on comics, because I have the option to slab/protect them and store away.
Also, I wouldn't have anyone sign directly on prototypes. I've seen many signatures bleed overtime depending on the medium used.
I'm not big into signatures in general, but some do look quite beautiful.

I’m not a fan of crazy long quotes on the front. Like you said, they block the whole window and the wall of text in plain handwriting isn’t visually appealing to me. I try to get the signee to sign in a way that doesn’t block the figure, but they sign how they want sometimes. If I had it my way it’s signature on the front, short quote on the side window. I will say some people have lovely large signatures, such as Chris Claremont.

I remember with comic books, you can bag the comic in a plastic sleeve with a cut out, and use blue tape to mark out the exact area you want the person to sign. I think this can be done with pop boxes if you lay them out flat, or cut a square in a soft protector and mark an area out with blue tape. I think if I ever went the signature route I'd have them sign the side window and nothing else.

Autos are fun to get but not a necessity for me when going to a con. I'll definitely look through the list of guests to see if there might be something we could get signed. I think the last couple of times I got really excited to get a POP! signed were Chuck D from Public Enemy at NYCC last year and Simu Liu at LACC last year.
