I was so stocked when I saw the announcement. Japan is just a 4 hour flight from the Philippines - highly likely I get to go. Can’t wait and its time to save up!
And of course, we can’t go wrong with Japanese inspired exclusives!
That's great Renard! My first and only Celebration was Chicago, but it was a lot of fun

Yes, Jar Jar was the best pop from this year's SWC IMHO. I have yet to get one. Kinda hoping I can find one with the official con sticker.

Yeah only having two was...an interesting choice. Especially no ROTJ pops.

Good point. Only 2 pops (three technically) this year. Last year's were better, but this was also a US show so their transportation/shipping network is probably less costly than trying to ship a lot of different exclusives overseas. Wonder if in Japan they will have only a handful of exclusives.

Japan is such an incredible country and the city of Tokyo is just so incredibly integrated with comic/video game/anime culture that there's perhaps no better spot for the next Celebration. Very excited about the possibilities for this show, with Funko and in general.

I bought the Jar Jar from Funko Shop and it is really well done. I know a lot of people dislike the character but I have a slightly and ironically enjoy him and I’m happy to finally have a TPM version in my collection.
I would love to make it to celebration japan!

Jar Jar has grown on Star Wars fans. What was very frustrating as a prequal, has over time, become loved. Go Jar Jar!

Well the booth was run by funko europe. Also as this stuff is made overseas I do not think shipping was a big factor.
I am sure the stuff in japan will also be shared

I'm exited to see which Asian licensees will be vendors at the convention. We could see some amazing booth and exclusives from companies like Hot Toys, Bandai, Kotobukiya and XM Studios to name a few.

Was at first hoping to see Celebration back in Orlando but then I started to thing about how Tokyo was gonna make this a much a bigger deal than Orlando and vendors will be out in force for Tokyo celebration. Already planning on attending and knocking out Universal Japan and Tokyo Disney.
Love to Collect the 80s stuff. Also chasing the OG Rocky Set. First Funko Purchase was 2012 SDCC.

If 2025 really is going to have be a Star Wars movie year, maybe there will be a US based Celebration too.

I too was expecting Orlando, but was pleasantly surprised when Japan will host Celebration once again. I've been meaning to visit the country, so this is a perfect excuse to go.

I'm really hoping so. And not just first-to-market "exclusives", but actual exclusives that are only available at the con.

I was thinking the same thing, but they would have announced it at the same time right? Also, a US Celebration in the same year would kill a lot of ticket sales and other revenue for the Japan organizers and vendors. Potential attendees would forgo Japan in favor of the Celebration in the states.
