.I was trying to squeak in before midnight, but just missed it. Anyway, for this week I was thinking "nostalgia".
My dictionary app says nostalgia is a "wistful desire to return in thought to a former time in one's life; a sentimental yearning for the happiness of a former place or time." That pretty much sums up a Wobbler collector. I know it sums up any Funko collector, but this is the Wobbler section, so go with me on this. Wobblers just feel a bit more nostalgic--at least to me (probably cuz I'm old).
And for whatever reason, this Funko original says "nostalgia" to me more than any others in my collection. 1950's Sci-Fi. Of course, I watched 1950's Sci-Fi movies in the 1960's and early 70"s (I'm not that old--no disrespect to those that are--hi Craig and Sho
). And the late 60's and early 70's were a pretty tumultuous time, but that's what the old movies were for, to escape the reality of the moment.
What piece in your collection says "nostalgia" the most to you?
This was a case of variance in box art only; both Wobblers are identical.
