POP! Repair
Hi,
Did a quick search and do not see anything so asking... I had 2 POPs break - 1 a foot broke off (top heavy guy fell over) and then a stand on a "flying one" (Tink) - is there a good glue/adhesive and way to do for best looks to repair these?
I know it won't look new but I'd like them to look good. Also keeping in mind I am SO NOT a creative type so was thinking a glue gun? But does Gorilla glue work on POPs?

AS far as i remember and i dont want to be misunderstood with translation, baking soda and super glue works, hardens like a rock and doesent burn the vinyl

I haven't had to fix too many since I'm in-box, but gorilla glue usually works for me with appendages. Not sure about the stand parts because those tend to hold a lot of the pop's weight.

As some one who carries pops and other Funko toys every where I go I have broken so many pieces and tried so many glues but the best one is if you go on Amazon and search for jue fish glue that is the very best glue you can use for this.

I tend to have a test pop to see the glue reaction to see whats best. Like I do not recommend cheap superglue. It can strip paint

Another alternative would be uv activated glue. I find this to be the strongest bond.

Thank you for the great advice. This is a great thread to create to help with ideas on fixing the Pop.

I use Loctite, vinyl, fabric, plastic glue. No reactions on plastic and strong hold. Its also clear.

I used Gorilla Glue on one of my Daenerys legs and it has worked. Now the caveat is I put her back in the box and insert . Dunno how well it would hold up out of box again.

I have received pops with broken heads separated body of the pop, I used Gorilla glue too and it works. Even remember using Gorilla glue for my die cast wonder women, the sword fell off when I opened mine, and I was able use Gorilla glue too.

Hmm, whenever I used glue in the past it left a bit of a residue. Looks like i'm just not doing it right

No you're right, I am sure there is residue and luckily, the ones I have repaired are not too noticeable or it doesn't bother me too much.

Great little thread. I have a mini that needs its arm attached again. Was thinking of using some type of JB weld, but these ideas on the thread make me try something else.

Re: POP! Repair
A lot of glues, including Gorilla glue and Loctite will expand when they dry. Do not use anything that expands when it dries. There is one that I started buying called "Zap it" and it's perfect. It dries quickly (with UV too), like within seconds, bonds super tight and does not expand, so it won't affect the vinyl. I've used it to repair several pieces. Good luck.

I’ve never tried Zap it. I’ll give it a try. It sounds like it would be perfect for repairing mystery minis.
