Deadpool & Wolverine Pop Yourself at SDCC

I know that so many heavily plan their SDCC days, but others are right--set modest expectations and be aware of timing. I generally like to have one thing to do in the morning (right away / 9 am), one thing around 1-3, and one thing at night. That way, I'm never super stressed.

Also, keep in mind, things will pop up in the middle of the show that you want to do--that can throw a wrench into even the best plans.

Even beyond the parties, just hanging in Gaslamp can be so much fun. You never know who you'll see. On one single night probably six or seven years ago, I got photos with Tara Reid, Joss Whedon, Seth Green, and Kevin Smith. Also won a Rob Liefeld sketch hunt that night. I try to stay as free as possible for magic to happen at night.

Celebrity sitings?! Are they blended in with everyone else or you can't just ignore their star aura haha, like they stick out.

Best way to prevent that is by picking 2-3 things you really want to do and planning your day around those events/panels/exclusives. Takes some stress out of everything happening by only focusing on a few things and fitting in anything else afterwards as extra.

I feel like I limit myself too thin with only 2-3 things. Or is that coming from experience, you will only have time for 2-3 things out of everything you want to do? Like how early does one need to get in line for panels/events? How long do lining up for exclusives take?

I mean pick the 2-3 you NEED to do and figure out the rest of your time after accounting for those. There will be 100 things I want to do at SDCC but I'll pick the ones I really want to do and see what else fits around that. Accounting for time in lines, walking to different offsites outside of the convention center and getting into panels that take time will help you plan your trip.

Yeah we basically make a big list of anything we want to do while there. Then we try to hit what we can each day based on level.of importance and daily availability. Every year I leave thinking I wish I did more but we do usually get to do more then 2-3 things but the most important things might really be 2 of those a day with a bunch of other non important stuff

Haha oh no, "wishing you did more" damn...I guess that is what gets you to go back again and continue the cycle. Yeah I did that with other cons and on spare time would go for the things that's not on the high priority list.

He's going to have a crazy busy week with the movie coming out AND Wrexham playing on the west coast, but I don't think a pop-up at the Pop Yourself booth is out of the question!

He might be there at SDCC already due to the massive hype of the movie. Marvel will have a panel after the movie comes out, though...so maybe not?

The Pop Yourself experience will be at the Funko booth. The Marvel booth will have other events/signings/appearances but probably nothing specific to Funko.

I trust that the event is well-structured. Whenever a new element is introduced, it does not always proceed as anticipated. I will certainly make an effort to attend one of these events.

I think it's so awesome you can do this. I'd love to pop myself as Deadpool but I don't do SDCC since it's just craziness and way to many people for me but I hope whoever does go has An a amazing time and gets to do this!

When the date for the Deadpool and Wolverine movie was announced, I felt like it was done on purpose to align with SDCC. So I was thinking it's very likely they may make an appearance. It's so Reynold's style to do something like this. Even though the movie will be out, it'll be the first night it is viewing so I feel like this would be great additional marketing material and content. I'll be on the lookout for the duo.

Seems like its FCFS at this point since it not listed on the lottery. Probably stand-by line until that gets filled up and then you gotta walk around the booth until more space opens up.

Since it isn't on the Exclusive Portal, odds would be on standard line. At least after Preview Night we will know if they potentially go with a ticketed system like "Hey come back at 8:30 and you'll have a spot" to all the people who make it over there quickly.

But have others have said odds are on a standard line and a "Sorry this line has been capped for the day" situation.
