Looking good Jeff, good idea with the little steps, 3 rows of pop and no one blocked. I'm stealing that idea

Jeff, I am IN LOVE with your collection! I learn that there is something new everytime you post pictures! I was not aware that there was a pink Huck wobbler! That is awesome! Love that GITD Joker, Batman, and GL are next to eachother as well as the customs with their brothers
Also really love the crystal pieces! Wish I hadn't forgot to bid on that crystal huck the other day >.<!

Re: My Updated Display
yeah shawn i was going to bid on a couple of the crystals for there opening bid and send them to a few members thats why i asked you your favorite but of course i forgot about them. ill keep my eye out if they pop up again.
thanks to everyone for there kind comments.
as far as the cabinets goes if you look up close you can definatly tell a blind guy built them. i still need to do the rim of trim around them which will cover up the pieces of wood that each shelf sits on. all i can say is im completely blind in one eye even with my glasses i see nothing out of that eye. not shadows movement or nothing. both of my lenses were removed out of m eyes plus i had pieces of my retina cut out in that eye and many other things. the one eye i can see out of again without glasses im completely blind, with glasses because my lenses were removed my eyes dont adjust to distance so my glasses are set at one distance anything closer or father is blurry and even what i can see i cant read or write or see any detail things.
i only say all that to say if i can build the case in my pic anyone can. the right tools make all the difference. for that case a chop saw makes all the difference. that a router and a nail gun is how i built them. the nail gun isnt needed but i cant see the nail and hammer and have zero depth perception so using a hammer is tricky. and you dont hve to rout the wood or you can buy lumber like trim that already has a edge on it. thats basically it. i can give anyone the specifics on how i built them if you want just PM me. but again its a very simple and easy to do design. not anywhere near what a prodessional would do but for what it is it looks pretty good.
thanks again

jeff you give me inspiration! I am also completely blind in one eye and have ZERO depth perception. I do have vision in my other eye and that compensates and I actually am able to drive but I drive like a 90 year old due to beinf overly cautious. I learned how to drive with just the one eye and do have some ability to compensate for the loss of vision (i have an eye disease which is slowly eating the nerve endings of my eyes and as long as i keep up my treatments i will be able to see into my 60's but if treatment stops working i could be completely blind within 4 years). not even glasses would help.
But seeing how you have overcome it gives me hope that i should get off my duff and build a few shelves. (thought last time i handled a nail gun i nailed myself to my door frame...)
back on topic-i LOVE lokoing at your collection!

Re: My Updated Display
sorry to hear about your eye condition vision loss is a horrible thing. they never took my license away but i have a feeling when it comes time to renew i would fail the eye test miserably. for driving one of the biggest issues is something happened to my irises wand my eyes are completely dialated so my eyes filter no light, thats why my house is kept completely dark all the time. so if i was driving and the sun came out over the hills it would completely blond me.
but all i can say is i was totally blind for 6 months so the vision i have now which isnt good is wonderful to me. the day i was in the elevator at the hospital and i could see a tiny bit of green on my dads shirt was amazing. i couldnt see the shirt but could just barely tell the color. it was a great day even made my father cry like ge was a little kid again.
as far as the cases i had a brief scare with my nail gun as well. i shot a nail into a board but missed the other board and it went straight threw and stuck into my wall about a inch over my foot. if anyone filmed how i filmed me building these its definatly a little sketchy but i just take my time. ive been working on them for over 3 years now. a carpenter would probablly have them done in a week
