At Home Box of Fun to use EQL

I've never bought using this method, please explain like I'm a 5 year old how this works, and when could I actually buy the item?

Basically it's an online lottery system. You enter all your information when entering into it. If you're chosen, it automatically charges you and ships at a later date. Also, you can enter for the chance starting Friday 7/19. It closes 7/22.

This system is quite impressive in the event that your opinion changes. Has anyone received anything this week?

Funny because some "resellers" went 4/4 or 8/8(Two accounts), while some collectors went 0/4 or 0/8

I think its nice some collectors are asking for retail+ship for a box for those who didnt get it

I was lucky to get all 4 boxes ... I am wondering if it was just luck or if they maybe increased the mascot counts this year ... I think last year it was 5000 or 6000 per mascot ... guess we will know soon enough

It’s a good question! I believe the Box of Fun has only been available online since 2021, when Funko made 5,000 of each mascot for the at-home box. In 2022, there were 6,250 of each mascot for the at-home Box of Fun. And in 2023, they increased it to 6,500 of each mascot for the at-home box. Definitely curious to see what the numbers will be this year!

that is true. they have been raising it a little bit each year. Maybe it will be a little higher this year to previous popularity? I'm just a bit bummed that there aren't 3 mystery freddys in the box. I would have gladly traded the wobbler for another freddy or franny funko.

I cant wait to see what comes out of the boxes I hope they ship out soon, but maybe not too soon since I am going out of town this weekend (like many of us ) I dont want them baking in the heat until Monday. I haven't seen a must have spoiler yet but I like this years options better then other years

I saw some Bittys that were different pirate Freddys and then I saw the Bittys that were all mascots so not sure!

Definitely could've done with another Freddy instead of the wobbler, but I like that they included the Bitty Pops so you get a little something from every team!

I was not a fan of this system due to FOMO. I only entered for 2 boxes and so did my spouse and we ended up 4/4 just hoping to get 1. Over $400 for 8 pops and some btties and sodas is crazy to me. Probably won't do it again for these kind of box bundles.

same I'm not a fan of the lottery the system, since it cant guarantee anything and you are running a risk of either not getting it or buying multiple boxes with majority if the items being the same
I entered for 1 box and was lucky enough to get it, but if i didn't my thought process was ill buy the pops that I wanted

Thinking about it that way is exactly how I talked myself out of entering for any and frankly I’m feeling like I made the right call. I very much agree with you. As much as I usually do anything to avoid buying stuff secondhand out of spite for flippers I’d rather just spend the money I would’ve thrown out gambling on the boxes to get the few Freddys I actually want without all the filler that just ends up sitting in my closet. I know not everyone sees it that way but that’s just my experience and perspective on it.

I got the aforementioned Captain Planet, and 1/200 Overwatch character, not familiar enough with the game to know who it is.

I feel very similarly to you. It’s really fun and satisfying to buy the Box directly from Funko, but I know from doing that last year that I ended up getting mostly Freddys from fandoms I don’t collect and also I enjoy but don’t collect Sodas, so financially it’d make more sense for me to spend that money on Star Wars Freddys that I do want! I feel similarly about the NFT packs, where it’s exciting to rip them open but it’s usually less expensive to just buy the specific redeemable I want on the aftermarket!

I got 3 boxes and so far only the Buccaneer box has shipped but I’m not in any rush! Excited to see what I do manage to get but boy am I jealous of Funtastic Voyage attendees because those in-person drops were insane! Loved most of them.
