Pokemon Pearlescent Funko Pops!

Pokemon just dropped another pearlescent exclusive Funko Pop on Pokemon Center, so I wanted to see what this community thinks about them. Personally, this is my favorite version of the Pokemon Pops to collect.

If you're a Pokemon Funko Pop collector, what's your favorite variant to collect? Pearlescent, flocked, diamond, etc... or do you just collect every Pokemon Pop regardless? I like sticking to 1 version to help limit my collection and have them all with the same look. Would love to hear what other Pokemon trainers, I mean, collectors think!

I quite like them! The box being holo makes it way more appealing to me then any other pokemon pop! In terms of the pop itself I quite like these or the flocked ones, but having the beautiful box makes these my fav

I think the pearlescent effect is pretty! Gives the illusion it might be a shiny without using glitter!

I like them, but i'm still holding out for a Charizard... its like they are teasing me anytime they drop I will say the pearlescent look way better in person than online.

I'm on the pokefence on these. I like some but not all and none really come to me as a need. I'm really torn I love pokemon

The added effects are nice, though I'm not the biggest fan of diamond anything. The glitter is just too much sometimes in my opinion.

Agreed! I love the holo look on the box, reminds me of the holo trading cards haha

Yeah, the glitter look is a little much for me (still fun but not my thing haha)

They should give us the first Jumbo pearlescent as Charizard... just a suggestion haha

My husband used to collect these and pretty much every variant. I personally liked the diamond pops the best, but I feel like for Chris it was gotta catch ‘em all.

I was collecting all of them and stopped because the shipping has been bad. Every shipment I've gotten from Pokemon center has pretty much been damaged. Not too sure if I have a favorite variant but I really did like the A Day with Pikachu series and An Afternoon with Eevee & Friends.

Go look on eBay and get ready to drop a few hundred if you really want it haha I don't think that one will ever officially get released (unfortunately) but they do exist out in the world

My only issue with them is that they're not shiny enough

Their boxes are awesome, with the holo-effect and everything. They release a little too early for my liking, but they're not to hard to get on the after market. Metallic Charizard really set the bar so ridiculously high that I still hold out hope that he gets released. At this point though, I only want a Pearlescent Dragonite

I like the pearlescent Pokemon series. I especially like that they have a shiny, reflective look to the box art to make it stand out more, but sadly, that's the main reason why I haven't gotten any of them. I only collect one Pop per Pokémon, so it would look too weird having them next to the non pearlescent Pops.

I personally prefer the flocked and sometimes diamond variations. I just wish they would crank out more of them more often

Fair point... I've always thought the Chase version of Pokemon Pops should be their shiny version haha

I’d love a Shiny Gyrados or Magikarp, that’s quite a good idea to add as a variant type next to glow in the dark or flocked!

My favorite would be the Flocked versions because Flocked works for many Pokemon. I collected the Flocked versions of Eevee Evolutions. I wish they would release the same for the Kanto region evolutions. The only variation is the Diamond ones but it's not really my favorite. Especially when I am putting them all next to each other, the Diamond ones stand out too much. I do like the Pearlescent but it's getting to a point where I hope they stop it because if they're going to do it for every PoP that's been released, it's going to be so bothersome...

i wish instead a pearlescent version we would get the alternative colors pearlescent like the shiny version of the Pokémon that way it would make more sense as an exclusive

Same here! Sort of. I basically want any Pokemon that has fur or feathers to be flocked and any Fairy and Ice type Pokemon to be diamond.

I've been waiting quite a while hoping for more flocked varients.
