anyone used bigbadtoystore?

Postby yoshi » Sun Dec 16, 2012 2:52 am

Hello, This is my first post, and so I'm sorry if this is the wrong place. However it has to do with Pop so this was my best guess.
Anyways, I started casually collecting pop vinyl figures a while ago and was mainly picking up the star wars characters. I recently decided I wanted to pursue more of a collecting hobby and thought I should try finishing the series. So from series 1 I got all the characters except Han solo. I have been trying to find him and it seems to be discontinued as he is at least 25-30$ everywhere I look. However I found a place called bigbadtoystore.com and they had a "pre-order" for 9$ that is supposed to come in by the 4th quarter 2012....which means technically they have a few more weeks but I would expect it to already be there. Does anyone know if this is a legitimate company and should I bother pre-ordering or is it discounted as I expected and should just buy elsewhere.

Also as a side note where should I find figures online? Browsing the forums these are the sites I've collected:
http://www.bbtoystore.com/
http://www.geminicollectibles.net/
http://www.gohastings.com/
http://fugitivetoys.com/
http://www.entertainmentearth.com/

All a bit overwhelming I must say but is definitely making my life easier to find all these.

Thanks in advance everyone.

I've never had an issue with BBTS, I use to buy SW figures from them a few years ago.

They're definitely legitimate and it seems you did your homework with the website you should be shopping from. Welcome aboard and good luck finishing your Star Wars collection!

Yeah Bigbadtoystore is a great place to get stuff from I shop there everytime and never had a problem with them. I have order two different POP!s from the The Smooth Crimble Michael Jackson and the Slave Leia. Both came in great packing. If you do have any questions with them you can send a e-mail to them they do get back to you with in 24 hours or sooner.

I've used them several times with no problems. My 9 inch Maleficent pop had her head fall off when I took her out of the box (it was already not attached properly before I got her), we emailed BBTS and sent a picture and they gave us the choice of shipping it back at their expense for a full refund or giving us $20 back (figure was $30) and keeping the broken one....we kept the broken one and fixed it, but just wanted to share an example of their customer service. We've also always had things come packaged properly for shipping with no issues at all with damaged boxes.

I bought a ugly doll chase at 15.3 shipped a couple months ago and it was nice.
Btw, I don't really like ugly dolls...

Okay. Thanks guys for all the information. I have another question. I was at barnes and noble today and I found a 9" batman with "limited edition chase". Being a sucker for "limited edition" I decided to buy it, that and cause I liked the blue outfit over the black one better. What is "chase" referring to?

It's a chase piece variant. That one is a 1 out of every 6 I believe. Pop usually are 1 of 36 are a variant. You can also google chase piece for more vague answers as a chase is common in collecting many things
