Forbidden Planet shipping time?

Postby TheFlashinator » Mon Apr 06, 2015 9:55 pm

Hello! So I ordered a White Lantern Flash Pop! from fobiddenplanet.uk on the 2nd of April. I was just wondering what kind of time frame I am looking at as far as them shipping it out and charging my card for it? Maybe it takes more time since I am in the states? Just wondering what maybe other peoples experiences with them were. and also how much maybe I can expect the total cost of it to eventually be? I know, it is a lot of questions but I am a new Popper! and have only bought off ebay and in person so far!

Hey! I also ordered from FP early last week and have yet to receive any shipping confirmation. Granted I do live in Scotland but usually they email within about 3 days of purchase. It is worth noting that Friday the 3rd and Monday the 6th were a bank holiday in the UK so those days don't count towards the waiting time. As for the final price I believe their shipping charges to the US are very decent, maybe only $4. Hope this helps

Ah awesome, all of this info actually does help me to be a little more patient. haha! I think $4 was about what I was expecting for shipping, but I also heard of maybe customs charges. Wasn't sure how that worked. Being in Scotland customs probably isn't an issue for you though!

I wrote FP regarding international shipping cost, and they told me they will send emails with the final total before shipping out orders. But they don't, they simply charge me separately for the pop, then the shipping, ship out the order then notify me that it's been shipped. I have to check my credit card transactions for the shipping cost.

However, I'm not bothered, because their international shipping cost, even for singles, is incredibly low.

Another thing to note that their pops come covered with extra stickers. I count 4 on my latest. There's usually one thats shaped like a price tag on the top. The others cover the "This is not a toy" warning and provides an alternate version of it. All should be easy to remove with lighter fluid.
