Moving Pops

Postby jagpop » Wed Jan 11, 2017 11:37 am

I'm moving this month. Wondering what boxes/dimensions people have use to move their Pops. I got some boxes from Home Depot and I was able to fit about 26 in each nicely with some room to spare on one side. Thanks.

Hey bro. When we were moving, I went to Frank and sons and grabbed some of the large Funko shipping boxes that the vendors were throwing away in the box bins. It helped alot. Also, hot topics may have those shipping boxes too if you ask them

Good looking out brother. I might hit up Franks on Saturday before the meetup.

When my family and I moved earlier last year, I used 18x18x24 large moving boxes for my Pops. Carried quite a few in each box, and did the job nicely.

Thanks for the dimensions. I'll try that size.

I'm just about to have construction done in my basement next week and had to pack up the collection for a month (sigh) and I put them in 18x18x18 boxes. I was able to fit about 32 a box with room for bubble and what not. Granted i'm just moving the boxes into another room but they fit pretty nicely and I feel secure they will be fine.

If using a moving company I would pack them suckers up good with plenty of protection. I've seen how some movers handle boxes!

I actually used the large Rubbermade containers, I fit 27 pops total in them.

I would go the rubbermade route too cause the shipping boxes are good but dont not protect them at all .

WARNING: BUBBLE WRAP EVERYTHING EXTENSIVELY! I thought I could get away with wrapping some common Pop!s in paper towels when putting them in bins and so many of them ended up damaged! :(

When I moved in got those home depot boxes to and bought a bunch of packing peanuts to put in there. Everything worked out fine. I also considered getting plastic tote bins from target but they weren't on sale at the time

I am using a moving company and no, I'm taking them myself...lol. I don't trust they will take as good a care as I would.

Smart choice! Considering how rough movers handle stuff, I'd rather move my Pops myself.
