I did notice they are releasing GotG villains? Not that I wont buy them (more than likely), but is there really that great a demand for these characters?

I'm coming from the viewpoint of not having ever been a comic reader, but way into the movies. All the superhero movies are great, but I'm really loving the MCU ones the best. So from my angle, I want the villains less than the heroes, for the most part. That's because I'm not nearly as familiar with the baddies. But I would still buy the villains without thought, especially the ones that have been in the movies. But from the old school readers view, wouldn't the interest in the villains be even bigger? You (the readers, in this case) already know them, their stories, who their main enemies are, as well as thier cross overs. In general, are the villains not as important to you as are the heroes? And, and this is pure speculation, aren't the Marvel and DC Pop! buyers more likely to be readers, or at least former readers collecting figures from their youth? Collectors of the other lines of Pop! would be a different type of buyer, for example, TWD and GoT (both books first, so kind of a bad example), don't have a long history before becoming Pop! toys. So there is no nostalgia, and all the characters, on both sides of and sitting directly upon the good/bad guy line would be equally sought after and important to the ongoing story and the fans. Examples of longer histories, Disney and Star Wars, the bad guys are as important and sought as are the guys in white. In fact, I'd say with SW, the bad guys, Darth, Boba, Greedo (who'd of thunk it lol ), are just as much wanted as Luke, Han, Leia, Wicket and Jar-Jar. I know the Disney movies, but I'm not really collecting them, or paying much attention to what's wanted or not, so it's more of a guess, based upon what and who I see on t-shirts, tattoos, etc...but I'd say those villains are are as popular as the their heroes as well. In truth, I have no data, it's all based on my opinion and my observations, but this is why I think the demand is there for GotG and all the Marvel/DC villains, and I hope they continue to make more. And sonIncan have some place to spend my money. ](*,)

I'm on the fence with the GotG villains. Of course I will buy them, but I find them to be unnecessary, well at least most of them. They are just milking the cash cow that is GotG which I don't blame them as I would to. I'm a huge Marvel fan since forever, and other than Thanos I never once thought about Nebula or Ronan becoming a Pop. I don't get it as to why they will release Pops for all the villains in GotG, but when the Avengers came out they skipped on Black Widow and Hawkeye. The same for CATWS. They skipped on Falcon which was a huge bummer. I think there was more of a demand for Falcon than everyone of the villains from GotG (minus Thanos, Thanos is big time).

I'd much rather they release Pops for other well known villains as I agree we need more. Magneto is one of the most famous characters in Marvel, and is just barely getting his own pop. You think with how popular he is he would have had a Pop of him made back in the teens or early 20's of the Marvel Pop series. Many Spider-Man villains are stupid famous yet none of them have been made other than the Shocker which was for movie purposes only. Seriously when you think best Spider-Man villain you don't think of the Shocker.

This is just for fun, but my top 10 other villains I would love to see get made. (this list would be really long if I didn't pick 10)

Venom
Juggernaut
Green Goblin
Ultron
Sentinel
Taskmaster
Apocalypse
Galactus
Norman Osborn
Bullseye

Honorable mention goes to MODOK simply because that would be a funny looking Pop. And more than likely Ultron will be made for Avengers 2. Can't say the same for Apocalypse as they didn't even touch X-Men Days of Future Past.

The new Pops from the Thor series came out this week in case you hadn't heard. Online preorders started to ship, and people are already finding them in stores such as Hot Topic. I meant to add this earlier this week when I got my shipping notice, but I simply forgot lol.

I'm a comics reader, though I'm in the DC camp, and the villains are, without a doubt, what draw me in as a reader, and have since I was a kid. Especially Batman's villains (but I like Superman's and the Flash's rogues galleries as well). I'm a huge Disney fan, and it's the same there: the villains are the stars for me, and have been since I was a kid. I collect Disney Villains and Batman Villains more than anything else. (And a few Marvel villains... I love Dr. Doom and Magneto, for instance.) I'd be thrilled to see more villains from Marvel, most especially Galactus. And, if we could talk MOVIES, I'd LOVE to see Alfred Molina's Dr. Octopus from Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 2, who, for my money, is STILL the best villain from a Marvel movie.

I'm a Marvel fan through and through, but am far from a guy that would bash DC. That being said, I would buy villains from both camps if they looked good, and honestly, I want a lot more than what is available, especially Marvel.

Mister Sinister, Apocolypse, Venom, Carnage, Lizard, Galactus, Sabretooth, Omega Red, Lady Deathstryke, Spiral, Abomination, Juggernaut, Rhino, Thanos, Kingpin, Ultron, Doc Oc, Hobgoblin....and a million more. So yeah, I'd buy lots of the villains for sure, and that's only a small list from Marvel, haha.

For now, I'll settle for finding ways to buy the heroes I don't have yet, and begging for more that aren't made.

Yeah, Marvel has quite a list of villains to choose from. I'm particularly fond of the X-Men and Fantastic Four (and a few Spider-Man) rogues.

Funko has been really good about giving the Disney Villains representation, but, are pretty slow about rolling out DC & Marvel Villains, I have to say. (I'm still waiting on The Scarecrow, Mr. Freeze, Professor Hugo Strange, Brainiac, Mr. Mxyzptlk, Solomon Grundy, Black Manta, Captain Cold, Captain Boomerang, Gorilla Grodd, etc.) Am very glad we're getting Bizarro Superman, though!

And that Thanos POP looks great! I'm not even a big fan of the character and I think he's fantastic.

With the popularity of Guardians, you would think that Funko would eventually re-release a 6" Groot.
