Are these same people complaining that there is no Maria Hill or Scarlet Witch coming with AoU? How about complaining that we haven't gotten Peggy Carter announced but by this time last year we knew Caulson was coming? The article I read only mentioned the 2 Avengers, and neither agent of SSR/SHIELD, and dismissed Scarlet Witch's exclusion because Quicksilver was also left out. If we look at the characters context, yes Black Widow has now been in 4 MCU movies (only one less then Iron Man, and more then Thor or Cap). Also, were these ladies complaining about her exclusion of the original Avengers? Because I remember when that movie came out there were little to no things with her or Hawkeye.
As far as a "wave 2" we all need to remember that Brian/Funko have not said anything that would hint that we are getting a wave 2, the only 2 movies that gave a second wave (from Marvel) were Thor TDW, and now Guardians of the Galaxy. Now if second waves are becoming a thing I ask 2 questions 1) why not just have a larger initial dump instead, and 2) how would it be decided who to include in each wave?
As for Age of Ultron, personally I would much rather see new characters made into Pop then repeats, unless in the case of Iron Man, they look significantly different (the Mark 43 and Hulkbuster don't look like the Mark 7 nor the Mark 42). My ideal Age of Ultron set would have been Hulkbuster 6", Hulk 6", Ultron, Vision, Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver, Hawkeye, & Maria Hill.
Wow, so apparently unless some dude at a comic book website writes about it, all the complaint on Tumblr and Twitter don't exist to you.
Yes, people were angry when she didn't get a POP for the first movie. People were furious at Hasbro, Funko, and Diamond Selects because there was
nothing. Yeah Hawkeye didn't get a POP, but he got a Mini Mugg, multiple Hasbro figures, the Walmart 6' exclusive, and a Marvel Selects figure. Black Widow got a single 3.75 figure from Hasbro that was short packed and was selling for five times the retail price on ebay.
Yes, people are angry that Scarlet Witch had not been announced yet, although it tends to be from people who are comic book readers. MCU-only fans have no attachment to either Scarlet Witch or Quicksilver yet. If it's anything like CA:TWS, most people won't care that they aren't included until the movie comes out, and then will want to buy the POPs for them. (Of course we already know there will be POPs for people to buy while we're still waiting for a Falcon POP to be released but that's a different rant.)
Is there anyone demanding a Maria Hill POP? No, not really. People definitely want one, but look at it this way - if it's this hard to get a POP for the MCU's top superheroine, what are the chances we'll get a figure for a non-superhero supporting female character?
Oh my god yes do people want a Agent Carter POP. Did you ever see this tweet?
https://twitter.com/LyndsyMFonseca/stat ... 9104378880But see the issues above: for many MCU fans - who are not toy collectors. You have to remember this, they buy all the POPs for their favorite characters but.
They are not toy collectors. - it appears that Funko could care less about putting out a figure for the most important female character in the MCU. If Black Widow can't even get a POP for AoU, then what is the point of asking for a Peggy Carter POP, a Maria HIll POP, or a Melinda May POP?
