Happened to one I frequent as well. Guess there going back to store layout 101 - put the most desired items in the back of the store so customers have to walk by everything else.
Did anyone elses HT move their Pop section to the back of the store?

I have seen employees put the Pops that they want either under the cash register or hiding them behind others on the very top shelf, where you obviously can't see them. Why have a store with things to buy if the employees hide what people are looking for? I've seen it happen a ton. It happened for SDCC, NYCC and when Super Stan and US Agent were released. Not to mention the flippers who openly admit to wiping entire stock of certain Pops and wait outside the door before they open. Loose policies and shady employees take me away from dealing with HT. I at least feel like it's an open opportunity at the other outlets I go to to buy Pops. I'll put it like this, I've actually found a Chase at B&N, I never dreamed of finding one at HT, where the employees openly admit to taking them. Seems rigged and I wish that it was a better ratio to make both the outrageous inflated values drop and to help the people that actually want them get them over flippers. Drop the value and flippers lose interest. We should look at value as a long term thing and not the whole it dropped today, lets charge $500 for these on Ebay!
My rants over. LOL
I guess I have some issues with HT! Hahaha

Indy Viper wrote:Lol- I assumed Pops got moved to the back of Hot Topic to cut down on stealing. I used to work a mall retail job and had to worry about that back then. Every time I used to go into Hot Tooic, I always thought, "Thats gotta be really hard to always keep an eye on when they're displayed so close to the exit. I'd hate to have that job."
...but making people walk last everything else so they potentially buy more makes more sense really.

Nah, I think I'll stick to getting paid to go attend College. Way less work, annoying people and way more money.

Funny, I never thought of college being "less work" and I know for a fact there are just as many, if not more, annoying people. Anyway, good luck with all those loans!!

if you get your degree online you avoid annoying people, and if your work pays for school it works out well without racking up loans.

Good thing the military pays for your college during and after Honorable service, if doing school work is hard, I'd hate to see what you consider difficult. Lol
No hate, just clarifying. I laugh at loans, they don't exist in my life. Saving and investing money pays off.

Online school feels like it cheapens the experience (I did that while overseas) vs physically being there, but yes, I agree having school paid for makes things work out quite well, especially when it comes to having plenty of spare money for Funko products.

Fawk wrote:Yeah the online school is more like self paced learning without a teacher in the middle from my perspective. It's actually harder in certain ways since the instructors at least in my experience more or less just grade papers and tests and don't add a lot of value. It's nice though for accelerated degrees, and on paper they are identical to any employer when compared to students who went on-site for their learning.
Anyways I am getting a bit off topic

UPDATE: The manager said it appears to be changing nationwide.
