Wow that's awesome, congrats! Glad to hear a Funatic scored it!

I love this forum because I can get excited about the announcement of a Space Ghost POP and there are dozens of other people who are just as giddy as I am lol. The POPs and Dorbz on my shelves are awesome, but the conversations I have on here are much more valuable.

Nicely said! I've been able to meet a few Funatics locally and it's always a great experience. I hope I can start traveling to events to meet more Funatics at the cons and such in the future :-)

Rex Mason wrote:To me the difference is that this is a comic accurate variant, not a special metallic or glow in the dark chase. As such, it's much more important to my collection, then, say a silver Hot Topic employee-only Batman. This was one of my most wanted bat-variants, but I certainly don't want to shell out $100 for it. Can't afford that much for a single pop.

And that's where these super-limited runs are a disappointment. It's one thing if someone wants it just because everyone else does, but in cases like yours where it actually means something to you and you can't get one because it's -too- exclusive, and on eBay it's gotten too expensive due to market speculation then that is really unfortunate. I've been very vocal in the past about some of these exclusives being too limited, most recently I was complaining about the ECCC exclusives numbers. In that case they made so few that even people that spend hundreds (if not thousands) in travel costs, hotel, tickets, etc. were unable to get what they wanted. It doesn't seem unreasonable to expect Funko to make AT LEAST enough to satisfy the minimum demand. Same with this, if the point is to drive customer traffic into Targets then they could have made 5x more and done a BETTER job of that. And even at that quantity they would still be "rare" and would be flipped, but the eBay price would be maybe 30 instead of 100+. It seems like as Pops get more popular Funko makes FEWER quantities of exclusives which makes no sense at all.

Oh my gosh you are kidding, my mom collected them too and last time I visited her it was the exact same thing! She had bins of them squirreled away in closets all over the place. I think she's waiting for the market to go back up so she can supplement her retirement lol

Well according to brickseek, it looks like every Target in my area is now officially dry on any SS or Batman POP!s The Batman is now updated on PPG now for $50. I'm sure that will keep going up the way it looks. The Joker also updated to $34 on PPG.

Can not believe how lucky I got.

I'm on the fence with Thai debate... The ONLY reason he is populare is because he is so rare. Now there are people who actually like him or are big Batman collectors that want him and now can't get him and I'm sorry for you. But to be honest I'll never get why people are getting so upset over it. I LOVE collecting every speedster that Funko releases and if this was a flash variant instead I would of bought in eBay first day for $30 and been done with it . even so if I didn't, o well! I'll never have the gitd reverse flash but I'm not ganna have my painties in a twist over it.

But you no what I will get those painties all twisted over? What tres said about ECCC con or any Con for that matter! Spending all that money and not getting the Pop you want is a shame and you guys have every right to complain all you want. (well everybody can complain what you want to complain about but these guys... I feel bad for)

Ya the price will just keep dropping on the Joker and he'll start becoming easier to find in Targets when they have their next shipment of Suicide Squad POP!s.

What I can't understand is how Hot Topic exclusives can be so readily available but Target/Walmart ones aren't. I'm sure it has to do with number of stores (Target/Walmart has way more stores than HT). But even if you don't have a HT, you can find the exclusives online. Why can't that be the case with the huge box stores? Is it because Target/Walmart is fairly new to the Funko game and haven't really ironed out their distribution methods or order enough? I have a degree in marketing so I love to think of logistics.

When Funko announces a HT exclusive, I'm not so worried. But when they announce a Target/Walmart exclusive, I know that I will probably never ever see it in my local stores. And that's just sad.

And yes, I know....

Man I've checked all 2 Targets by me almost every day since June 6th. Monday the 13th is when I first saw that those stores each had a couple of the Suicide Squad Pops in stock but nothing else. No Zur En Arrh Batman. I have to believe these still haven't hit the shelves. If they did there were only a couple and they went immediately.

Dang. I hate to be the bearer of possible bad news, but it seems like if your stores did get the SS shipments, then that might've already been the one opportunity for Batman. Seems like everyone is saying that there won't be any secondary shipments of Batman, just SS :-/

I'm with this funatic right here ^!I am not in it for the thrill of the hunt. If I wanted to hunt something down then I would actually go hunting or be into geocaching or something. However situations like this one makes it very difficult. I don't collect things because they are rare  , I collect them because I actually want them. So yes, I am going to be a bit peeved that something that something that is supposed to exclusive to a big box store like Target is dang near impossible to get. I mean, it's tricky. They can make a small number which brings traffic to the store and makes people really want it. Or they been make a bunch and then get stuck with a bunch of leftover stock. I think the point is that people will keep coming to check back, so more people come to the store. I myself keep checking, and almost always buy something since I'm there.

Sounds like my trip through Target I just had, but sadly they didn't have any Target exclusives and only 4 little SS POPs left, which I got 3 of, and 3 Rock Candy's, which I got 2 of lol Plus I got a BB8 shirt which is what I wanted most of all ;-)

It is more annoying to see flippers disguised as funatics or popaholics on this very thread claiming to hate flippers and to have found only one of these when in reality they went and got 6 and flipped 4 of them for $45 on ebay but it makes me smile when the pop actually went up to $100+ right after. But yes this is disturbing for true colelctors and i share the frustration.

I've gone to quite a few Targets in my area and no luck. I had a lead on one but the store apparently misplaced the shipment. Not quite sure how that happens but oh well, you can't hit a home run every time :-D

It is cool to see the new Funko displays!

I got burned I. This one a little bit the takeaway is that target has a nice pop section now. And that good since they get exclusives now.

I haven't found any Batman exclusives out of 8 stores. And I believe a few DID have them but they were long gone by the time I ever went to those stores.

Went to a comic convention today, didn't see this Batman for under $80 - what a joke.

So I guess these are pretty much all gone? The listings on Ebay have been dwindling and there's only 60 left. I don't know how many were made but I'm starting to think it was closer to 2000 -3000.

Not sure what future shipments will have, but my store recieved a box of 6 Suicide Squad Pops and no Zurs. Only had 2 Joker exclusives, Katana, regular joker, rick flagg, and a harley. It got checked in around 3pm from UPS and by 3:05 I had someone call followed shortly by 2 other guests. People must be watching Brickseek like hawks all day long right now. lol
Current Pop count: 280
Current Dorbz Count: 16
Newest Pop: SSGSS Kamehameha Goku
Favorite Pop: SS2 Gohan
ISO: Not even sure anymore

I'm hoping my store didn't get them yet. My store looks like they just got the crossbones.

Is there any reason these are so expensive on the secondhand market? Have they said these wont ever be restocked?

They only got one shipment and NOT every store got them. Whatever is out there now is what is out there and there will not be another shipment. Popcultcha and other venues are NOT getting them either.

I can confirm local Targets are getting a restock of the POPs on the DPCI, but I've seen 4 common SS and 2 Target Jokers per box. No stores that I've seen restocked got any Batmans. I wouldn't get too excited if you start to see brickseek show 6 or 12 quantities of SS POPs.
