For the purposes of this thread, I think this is what you should have highlighted:

Mark Robben – Well it would be nice if it all worked out that way. You know all of this can be tweaked. We did Emerald City Comic-con, our home town con, and admittedly our quantities on some of the stuff we sold was too low. That can be tweaked and we are adjusting for San Diego. We are adjusting for New York. When we go back to Emerald City next spring, it will be different. We are always learning, so we can take the feedback to Target and say for the next promotion we do, we need to adjust this math.

That's really all we can ask is that Funko listen to us and adjust their future gameplan accordingly, and by all accounts it certainly seems they do that so kudos to them :-)

Princess wrote:The "international thing" is because we are collectors too. We don't get ANY exclusives. Pops like the Supernova "exclusives" like Patina Wonder Woman end up as an exclusive in the USA. It's not just this one ultra exclusive pop. We can't buy from the Funko shop. We can't subscribe to Legion of collectors. We can't subscribe to Smugglers Bounty. We can't get past boxes of Marvel Collector Corps. We can't get Walmart exclusives. We don't get Pop Asia either. We have to go to eBay and pay inflated prices for all of those exclusives, plus horrendous shipping on top of that.

Yeah we really have it a lot better here than most of us realize! The question on the sub box distribution has come up before and Funko has responded that they're working on it but have licensing issues that have thus far prevented it, so I don't think it's that they're ignoring International collectors so much as it is legal issues. I suspect it's a lot more complicated than we realize, but hopefully they can get it resolved and open up the sub boxes and Funko shop to International collectors!

Getting a bit off topic here but...

Being international has its advantages too doesn't it? You say you don't get exclusives but you get most of them they just don't have stickers... Yes it does suck you cant get the boxes and I hope for you and all other internationals they change that, but the fact is you can walk into a store and could buy a TON of fugitive exclusives (not all but most) Vaulted pops that are harder to find pop in the states that are ALOT easier to find international and other exclusives that are being bought by flippers. JUST RECENTLY people were buying john diggle on ebay for $40 and then you see people from the U.K posting they found him in store for $15. And THERE ARE A TON of cases similar to that one.

I remember few days after the SDCC people were posting how they found unmasked jasons, robot devil with fiddle, the SDCC repunzel and others at there local FP just sitting on the shelf... GOOD LUCK with that in the states. Im not saying you have it better off then us but if you really think about the advantages and weigh it against the disadvantages is it really that bad?

We don't get exclusives that are exclusive only to Australia. The exclusives that were released in America (like Fugitive exclusives), are also released here on PC, which is accessible to Americans as well as internationals. So we don't really get any advantage for this that you don't get. Postage to America with PC starts at $12.50AUD. So you aren't even penalised by high shipping (compared to $50USD shipping for 1 pop charged by a number of online stores for shipping to Australia, $12.50AUD is not high cost). We don't get more access to vaulted pops. I normally buy anything vaulted or rare on eBay from the USA. A few people on this forum can attest to that as they have very kindly helped me to do so . If you are thinking of some of the rarer ones that sometimes pop up on PC......again these are available to Americans and we have to fight against everyone for a chance at these. They are not generally distributed to stores here. So I personally don't see how the "advantages" we have are outweighed by the disadvantages.

Sounds like the UK got lucky with a few. I can't speak for them, so maybe England is the exception to the rule. Pretty sure the rest of Europe is in the same boat as here. Pops like John Diggle, unmasked flash etc were available on FP website, so again, Americans did have a chance at them.

I swear this is the last word I'm saying on this subject. Not even checking this thread again. I think some people won't ever get it until they have to pay the same prices and try the various methods to track down some of these pops that we have to go to.

To try to leave it on a positive note, a sincere thank you to all on these boards who have helped me with obtaining any pops. It is greatly appreciated.

Must be something wrong with me too, as I have left exclusives for someone else that truly wanted them and have grabbed others and helped out funatics here. With the GITD BvS set, the box wasn't even opened yet, but I spotted it up above and asked an associate to get it down. It was the only box they had and I could have bought all the sets inside, but I didn't. I thought about all the hunting I had been doing and how disappointed I was to constantly not find what I was looking for, so I bought the one set and left the rest for other collectors or just some kid who might think the set was cool. For the FCBD dorbz I lucked out and saw them at a local comic book store that had them onsale early. I sent them to a funatic here on the boards who really wanted them, and didn't do the whole price jacking thing. I don't know, maybe I am just doing this whole collecting thing wrong. :-k I just collect what I like, and for the rest I just try to help other funatics/collectors out. :dontknow:

Anywho, if anyone finds one of these suckers or is going to SDCC and can grab a Batman Pop!Ride for me that would be awesome! :D

I wonder if they'll ever reveal the production numbers on this one. They said they won't in a Q&A but I'm just wondering if they were waiting till it seems like all are off of eBay. There's only 30 left so I guess we'll see if they ever do. I'd like to know just for kicks.

I'd like to know this as well. Especially considering how some areas seemed to get more than others. That made it a bit harder to estimate.

I have never seen Funko announce production numbers on anything that didn't have a numbered sticker on it, so I doubt they will. But it would be great to know not just for this Batman but for chases and other exclusives too.

Somebody said they order straight from Funko and a new mold of a character is an order of 30,000. So with all the new pops seeming to be 1:6 ratio I'd say probably 5,000 chases at least for newer pops if the numbers are true. Don't have any facts just what I've heard.

Target site says 1,792 stores in the US.

If you say stores averaged 1.5 batman pop

Would be like 2,688 batman pops out there.

Just throwing numbers out there, I know maybe some stores maybe got 0 some maybe got 2-3.

I wonder if they made 2016 because they make limited ones that are 1008 and since the year is 2016 it just makes sense to me.

Because of his actions I still look for them to try and pay it forward for another board member. It's not the first time someone has helped me out and it is not the first time I have tried to do the same.
I think most board members try to do this if possible. When they see something is difficult to get or highly sought after, they will grab a few to help other members out.

Yes! That is what makes this community so great. Luckily, I've been hearing more stories like this as opposed to ones where somebody buys a bunch to flip on ebay.

Who know's if this auction this morning was legit but smoking deal if it was.

*edit*
I'm guessing the chance of it being legit are slim. Seller has had a few auctions over the last few days selling 90 of them. That's approx. $2700 in sales. Add to that they're not suppose to ship until July 25. Makes no sense.

We have both good and bad but the flipping part well thats exactly what happened here when this Batman came out a guy who claims to be this funatic popholic who hates flippers with a passion in this very thread said he found one from a box of 6 while he was flipping 4 on ebay for 45...

Really dude?Get over it.That was a month ago.You want to keep bringing this up. Aren't these for your kid that can't even walk,is he really that upset. drop it.

I didn't even mention you by name on the thread, but it's fine will be the bigger person and nice enough to "drop it". Consider it dropped now, "dude". I dont get myself too worked up over people like you...
And yes i meant to quote the pm in the thread. ;)

Don't quote PMs in threads, man. Not that there was any sensitive information shared there, but still.

The "P" in "PM" stands for private. Posting that publicly when there isn't any need for it is just tacky.

Your reply could have been sent via PM and didn't need to be done publicly.

I understand how you feel and i even think the same, however, i felt it was necessary to just put it out there because members like this who repeatedly claim to hate flipping and whines continuously in other threads about those that do flip then they turn out to be the ones who clean out stores to flip and post how they only found one and have 4 listed in the bay for ridiculous prices, how i also helped out this member in the past holding out a piece he claimed he couldnt find and was actually selling more than 10 of those on ebay. People like that do not let others the chance to even get a piece at retail just to make money it just ruins it for others. That was the whole point tacky or not i felt it was necessary to show up some ppl here that are not what they claim to be.

I'm a Batman collector, and I just can't with these prices. Hopefully someone will come through and be able to help out, but ebay is not an option right now with the $$$ they are asking for.
