NYCC 2016 POP discussion thread

Figured I should start a thread specifically designated for discussing the exclusive pops for NYCC. Announcements started today and things are already getting good! As more waves come I'll add more pics to the first post.

I love the Scott Pilgrim ones, but being LE1000 and no more PC, I don't see them happening. Trunks is awesome and I can't believe we're finally getting Shane! I'm sure we'll see Trunks and Shane at HT since they're both limited edition.

The Scott Pilgrim ones are growing on me. Still unsure right now though. Lol Knives tho.

I want both the scott pilgrim ones, but they are both extremely lazy variants, and the LE1000, means I won't be able to get them.

Just gonna repeat what I said in the other thread over here:

Shane!!!!! Finally! Honestly, I was hoping (meaning my wallet was hoping) there wouldn't be anything I'd need. So much for that.

Wouldn't mind those Scott Pilgrim ones either, but I won't be too upset if I can't get them. Never was able to get Sex Bob-Omb anyway.

But, SHANE!!! Yes!!!

Is anyone else mildly disappointed in Shane? I mean, it's great we now have a Shane figure, but he just looks so bland

They did say in the Periscope feed that many WILL be shared exclusives. They did not say which ones, nor where they will be. For SDCC they announced that after the last wave, so i imagine they'll do the same this time.

that's good news for those that can't make it to nycc. It sucks for those that are traveling out to nycc just for pops

I can't say for sure, but Trunks just maybe might be at GameStop.

Same, unless Funko decides to be charitable and let Popcultcha still sell Con stuff to the US since it's not like they're really store exclusives... with them gone, I feel like there might be some lines I give up on if I can't get them lol

The Scott Pilgrims are the only ones I want from wave 1, but there's like a 99% chance I won't ever get them... unless somebody buys them without wanting them and doesn't insist on reselling for more than twice what they paid lol

I'm just hoping Toy Tokyo doesn't have anything I want.

Check the edition sizes on the stickers if you can see them. Most of the time, unnumbered limited editions end up being shared with a HT, BN, GameStop, etc. etc.

Numbered stuff..typically con only.

I think there is more to experience at NYCC than just getting POPs

I kind of had a similar feeling with SDCC and was bummed that other people could get stuff just by sitting on their computer while I was camping out, but then I realized the joy of getting into the booth and the possibility of getting rare stuff (limited number stuff mainly) outweighed the negatives.

last year it was just HT and GameStop that got NYCC, and GameStop actually didn't get released on time in stores (not sure about online) but now there's rumored to be some at Barnes too.

Box Lunch had the white Duck Dodgers limited piece but it sold out in like less than a second online and almost as fast in stores since they didn't have many

That'll be awesome! They'll hold con stuff at the store until the end of the day. Just have to put it on hold online and I can run over at lunch and pick it up.
