So the Ragnarok Pops are available on Amazon for Pre-order with a date of 9/15 to ship. Having pre-ordered a lot on Amazon in the past, I usually get my Pops a lot sooner than the date suggests. So my guess is somewhere around end of Aug - early Sept. I honestly don't think there will be much demand on these. Also, is it me or are HT exclusives not that hard to come by anymore? What's changed there? I say this as I see the Blue Venom HT exclusive available for purchase online which wasn't the case before as I believe it was sold out.

Funko most likely increased production numbers for HT exclusives to meet demand. Store exclusives never meant limited numbers either. It just means you can only find it at that particular store.

Yea, I get that. It does make sense that they'd increase numbers, but it did at one point drive up the price on the Pops from certain stores (like Walmart or Walgreens) because of flipper hoarding. Maybe it's Funko's way of dropping down the overpriced secondary market to keep fans engaged. Or maybe they haven't released anything crazy sought after as of late. Who knows.

It wouldn't make sense for a flipper to hoard their inventory. They'd want to flip their inventory as soon as possible. The price drive is really just economics, when the demand doesn't meet supply. Funko doesn't gain any more money from the prices going up on the after market.

By flipper hoarding I meant them depleting inventory before the collectors could even have a chance at a piece of the pie. From what I've seen, that happens often. It's almost a given to not check certain retailers because of this, at least around here. I should have been more clear there.

And if a Pop suddenly becomes a grail doesn't mean there's a market for it. One can argue that Funko loses money when prices go up after market; either people get sick of the aftermarket prices or they're too busy saving for desirable figures they don't buy anything new. Quite honestly, exclusivity isn't driving desirability among the casual collector. And there are far more casual collectors than hardcore collectors, which means they stand to p*** a lot more people off if this trend continues and the wrong resolution is implemented.

I've seen reports of people buying Deadpool the Duck from Forbidden Planet UK before the NA release date. Right now it says sold out, but it is possible they restock again before the North American release date. So if you want it early keep an eye out on the page because you never know.

Remember there's 2 different forbidden planet websites. http://www.forbiddenplanet.co.uk/ had it in stock a while ago maybe 3 weeks and it sold out pretty fast there too.

So has anyone else given up on a new Yondu? Best possible outcome is NYCC gets Yondu and MCC box gets a Ragnarok theme for the Grandmaster. Can't see them both being released for NYCC. Also we should all expect the best possible outcome to never happen in this world

Seeing as how we just recently got walking dead pops of characters from five years ago I'm never giving up on Yondu

We had to wait 7-8 months for the original Yondu pop, I'm guessing it'd take the same time or maybe longer to get another one.

I agree NYCC is our best chance to get Yondu, and possibly the last chance. I will still have some hope beyond that, but will be less optimistic. I wouldn't rule out Yondu and Grandmaster both being at NYCC. It sounds like there may be a record number of exclusives there.

Given that James Gunn himself said Yondu is happening, I'm pretty sure it's happening. He confirmed Ayesha and Kraglin along with him so I honestly wouldn't be surprised to see a second wave. GOTG 2 hits blu-ray this coming week so the potential for an update or announcement is there IMO. Patience is indeed a virtue.

Given that James Gunn himself said Yondu is happening, I'm pretty sure it's happening. He confirmed Ayesha and Kraglin along with him so I honestly wouldn't be surprised to see a second wave. GOTG 2 hits blu-ray this coming week so the potential for an update or announcement is there IMO. Patience is indeed a virtue.

That's awesome, yet I still don't get why they need two people unboxing the same box ...anyway. Awesome. Just awesome.

I'm curious, however, as to why they didn't pick a more unique first appearance. I like the idea and I hope they keep it going throughout the year when there are no movies out. Maybe even do a classic comic reboot box a la Secret Wars (and maybe a Black Cpt Marvel this time )

Anyway, I like the concept!
