I think its safe to say if the Friday release is indeed Pikachu it is going to sell out at Mach Speed due to the Detective Pikachu trailer "Pika Pika!"

I need that big old pikachu in my life
Hope Funko makes a 10 inch for each of the OG starter pokemon down the line, maybe even go as far as making their evolved versions in 10 inch as well. Or another cool idea would be the 1st evolution in regular 3.75-4inch pop size, the second evolution in 6 inch form, and the final evolution in 10 inch form!

^ This is exactly what I was thinking would be the idea thing to do for the Pokemon. I think that there are some Pokemon that are more popular then others so im okay with starting and final form for now they can fill in the blanks as they go along.

Will the Pikachu be flocked? After seeing the trailer for the movie that is the next variant.

I agree they should make the starter pokemon, but at the same time, not milk the 10in on pokemon that dont need it, like evolved are fines like you mentioned but not the starters along with it

So do you think Friday is Pikachu in a Santa hat? Or detective hat for the movie?

Hoping Pikachu 10" is not a Holiday Santa Hat POP. Wanting to display him year round.
Love to Collect the 80s stuff. Also chasing the OG Rocky Set. First Funko Purchase was 2012 SDCC.

That's a rough time for us on the west coast. I liked the midnight releases. Haha
hey the east coast had it rough last year, its your turn *EVIL LAUGH*
I know. That 3am release must have been brutal! I guess I can get up at 550 to get ready. Haha.

Not sure why everyone is assuming that it's going to be 10 inches?

They've talked about releasing a 10" Pikachu by the end of the year in past updates.
http://globenewswire.com/news-release/2 ... igure.html
“As one of the preeminent entertainment properties in the world today, we’re thrilled to welcome Pokémon to the Funko Pop! lineup with this exclusive figure,” said Brian Mariotti, CEO of Funko. “Pikachu is one of the most recognizable characters in pop culture, and as the ultimate purveyor of pop culture we couldn’t be more excited to bring Funko’s signature style to the world of Pokémon. So much so that we plan to launch a larger 10-inch scale figure later this year.”

Because there has already been one (known) sold to disfunko during targetcon, and I doubt they would just make 1 of them.

But normally the weeks of target are online only, they only show up in the store due to the returns. If the target pikachu 10in was found on the west coast in stores, wouldn't that negate the possibility of them releasing the 10in pikachu online as part of the promo

I still can't even find the reg pikachu at Target. Here is hoping it's not since i'll likely never see the light of day finding a pikachu in the wild. If they do Detective Pikachu i'm curious how they would look since it's real life versions.

I assume if Funko decided to do a Detective Pikachu that they would dull down the yellow slightly and make it flocked.

I hope not, the 10in pops don't sell out as fast. Collectors don't always have room for them. But I agree since this is Pikachu it will sell out under 5 minutes.

I’m torn on Pikachu now. I saw a picture online and now I kind of want it. I don’t play or watch Pokémon, but I think it would look cute with my other 10” pops. I think I I’ll set my alarm and decide in the morning.

Yes this is good to know, but this one will be a hard pass for me. I'd rather spend my money on other stuff. As you know with Funko.... there are many financial rabbit holes you can go down.

I have all of the 10” Pops so I’ll probably grab a Pika also to stay complete.
