Never got variants for the characters or other doctors/characters.
I wouldn't say it's died but it's slowed down a lot. We probably won't get more than a handful of new Who pops per year. Keep in mind that's purely speculation though.
Also keep in mind that this thread was created in August, 2016, when it emerged that DW wave 2 didn't sell so well. Now it has basically become a general Funko DW updates and discussion thread. Funko still holds the DW license and they still make a few figures every year. You have now joined a very long line of people who are confused by the 3 year old title,

Re: HOW DO WE SAVE THE DOCTOR WHO LINE?
The materlizing Tardis is taunting me on Amazon at about $43. Someday I'll spend the money, but it's a bit pricey right now.
I know I'll never own the 12th Doctor in the space suit or the 13th Doctor in her coat, their prices are way above what I'd spend, and I've come to terms with that.
That said, I'm still dying for new pops from this line. It's one of my top five lines I plan to buy all that I can of it, so more would be nice, even just another small regular wave of 5-6 pops. The remaining Doctors, the Master, Martha, Donna, Bill, a few creatures, maybe the older warrior Amy. Realistically there are probably 30 I'd want, but I know most will never happen.

One of my favorite lines. Still I need to finish from the first few waves but would love a Donna. Maybe if they bring her into the Office line they could use same mold for Doctor Who as well.
Love to Collect the 80s stuff. Also chasing the OG Rocky Set. First Funko Purchase was 2012 SDCC.

Re: HOW DO WE SAVE THE DOCTOR WHO LINE?
This is the line that got me collecting Pops (my first Pop was Arya Stark but I didn't buy another one until I got a 12th Doctor) and still my favorite line. I hope we can at least get the rest of the Doctors, Ace, Nardole, and Graham at least.
I wasn't the biggest fan of series 11 but I think that Tim Shaw, Graham, and a 6" giant spider would make a nice mini wave that would sell well.

Personally, I'll never come to terms with the fact that I won't own a 13th Doctor with coat. Other than that I have a complete collection, and I'm still ticked off at Funko for lying to us that it was only going to be a "First to Market" release.

Yes, same here although like you my first pop was a diff character (jax SOA) it was not until the toy fair in 2015 where they announced DW and HP that I really got into collecting.

I can't believe how quickly the year is going, but we are probably just a month or so away from SDCC reveals. I'm guessing they'll be in June so its quickly approaching!

Meh, I'll skip the giant spider haha XD But I would REALLY love at least one of each Doctor. Give me some ruffles and celery!

I am more focused on being days away (hopefully cross my fingers) from Fundays signups. Then yes we are close to SDCC reveals. Which I know will have at least 1 HP and 1 GOT and I hope they add 1 DW.

I'm the opposite. I got the spacesuit and dont have 13th. The "first to market" wording screwed me, figuring Funko would release a version without the sticker.
