He-man Pops look SOOOOOOOOO good out of box. Nice collection, man!
I really, really hope we get some more in the future despite all the horrific rumors. Lol.

Going to hold out hope that Funko retains this license and that we at least get more convention exclusive MOTU pops.

I can hardly claim to be "in the know" but my understanding is that Buzz-Off was the last one. Mattel has been pulling all the licenses. Loyal Subjects lost theirs as well.

Mattel has been pulling licenses from these bigger toy companies. But they decided to give a license to BTS, the Korean boy band? Guess Mattel truly has lost all sense

Agree thats a nice comparison. But more pops for the movie would also be great...
Unless they look nothing like the characters we are familiar with. Ala EVERY character featured in the original movie.

I never fully understand when Hollywood completely neglects the source material completely. They chose the property because it already has some recognition. So why change it completely. Respect the material and honor it.

Yeah and they have a ton of great villains in their stable. It would be a shame to end the line with a ton still available to pop.

I'd be surprised if that's the case. Especially if Mattel canceled the licensing for them. If so they may be stuck with tons that can't be sold. I'm sure Mattel would have said you have to sell what you have produced and that's the last you can produce.

I would assume no more pop pez is forthcoming but Super7 still has their license and that time I checked was taking preorders for their next wave.

Yeah Pop Pez MOTU would be done. Which is too bad, for many reasons, but the first wave was fantastic!
I saw the pre-order on Super 7's site, but I had heard that's it and that their license is being pulled too. Again, I'm hardly an "insider", just what I've heard. I hope it's wrong, they've done an amazing job with MOTU.

That would be a shame, Super7 was doing a really nice job with the license. Maybe Mattel feels like there will be a surge in popularity when the new movies comes out and they want to reorganize. Either way I doubt MOTU has stopped being profitable.

Absolutely. Both the re-action and the retro style figures are incredible. I think Mattel's thinking here is if there is a huge amount to be made on new films/series that they want it all coming to them, not sharing the profit with the licensees.

Wow!!! what about all the motu pez and Super7 motu?
I would assume no more pop pez is forthcoming but Super7 still has their license and that time I checked was taking preorders for their next wave.
Yeah Pop Pez MOTU would be done. Which is too bad, for many reasons, but the first wave was fantastic!
I saw the pre-order on Super 7's site, but I had heard that's it and that their license is being pulled too. Again, I'm hardly an "insider", just what I've heard. I hope it's wrong, they've done an amazing job with MOTU.
Really??? Super7 also?? oh no!!!!!
1st pop Marvel Thor bobble head and Captain America (2011) Walked into booth at SDCC and purchased in less than 5 minutes.

That would be a shame, Super7 was doing a really nice job with the license. Maybe Mattel feels like there will be a surge in popularity when the new movies comes out and they want to reorganize. Either way I doubt MOTU has stopped being profitable.
I find it hard to believe that super7 lost the rights. They just put up the Snake Mountain pre orders up and at a whooping $600 each.

True but also like, they never announced buzz off. He kinda just showed up ya know?
Maybe he was the last they had to sell before the license ran out. I'm hoping they still sneak a couple more out.
I hope so. Maybe they have a deal for only cons?
That's what I was thinking. That's when the most recent ones seem to have been released. I can't think of the last one that wasn't a con exclusive.

Unless they look nothing like the characters we are familiar with. Ala EVERY character featured in the original movie.
True, true...
I never fully understand when Hollywood completely neglects the source material completely. They chose the property because it already has some recognition. So why change it completely. Respect the material and honor it.
I agree. Or they think they are ‘updating’ it for the modern audience.

I will never get over what they did to the Catwoman movie...
One of the coolest antiheroes in comics.
And they changed her name From Selina Kyle to Patience Phillips.
She went from a bold and take charge cat burglar to a meek and mild graphic designer at a perfume company.
From no super powers to someone with superhuman speed and strength.
I mean...at that point, why are they even calling the movie “Catwoman” any longer...it has nothing to do with the character from the comics.
This is the ultimate warning to all comic book movie film makers to honor the source material and not to try and re-engineer everything that makes a character special.
