I knew the beans would spill before hand! These are what I got to see pictures of while visiting with Brian and I can promise you all they'll look FANTASTIC! It's the same team that did the 6-inch Star Wars Black Edition. I'm gonna go so broke buying them all!! Saw pictures of Tyrion, Arya, Geoffry and a few others. I'm so excited!!!

Re: 1st legacy line revealed...
Brian "hinted" at this a few days ago on the board.
(Okay, he basically told us it was GoT.)
Popcultcha had them listed for presale (without pics) but has taken them down. They had Ned, Tyrion, the Hound, Daenerys, Jon Snow and a White Walker. (This was also posted in one of the other threads...if I didn't have Thanksgiving cooking awaiting me in the kitchen, I'd look for it.)
SUPER excited!

Look, Winter is Coming..so maybe more hints then!

I knew he was too excited to not spill the beans! Wouldn't be surprised if he announces some of the other lines before Toy Fair too!

That is where the rumors are originating from. Brian's hint. Now the Newbs on the board are quoting him and us on their web sites and blogs and the news is spreading like wildflowers!

Next line is most likely Dr.Who.
Was right about GoT
It kinda obvious even if he didnt mention "winter is coming"

Re: 1st legacy line revealed...
There's already Doctor Who action figures out there. Forget who's manufacturing them at the moment.
Brian mentioned 2 lines that have never really had action figures before-one is a real classic who that already has something in the POP line and the other is a modern day classic with a serious lack of merch in general. Can't name names though til Brian does!

Hey, Bean Station, TN, huh Fan16? I grew up in Sevierville/Gatlinburg!
Anyway, so I think it's safe to assume the modern classic is GoT.....the real classic. Well, the problem there is we don't know if it's TV or movie. I can safely eliminate a few classic properties that have been made:
Pulp Fiction is being done by Diamond Select.
Nightmare on Elm St/Friday 13th by NECA
Gremlins/NECA
Planet of the Apes/NECA
I'm going to go with it being one of the following 3:
1) Thundercats (my main guess, as I believe Bandai lost the license)
2) Wizard of Oz (has never really had figures)
3) The Goonies (had figures from Mezco, but they were pretty much statues)

We are all very, very happy to spread that word too. I am absolutely ecstatic about realistic 6" Game of Thrones figures! I can't wait to hear about the second line too. After much disappointment with the lack of action figures for The Hobbit it is certainly great news to hear about all the excellent stuff Funko has coming. Pops! Are great too I can already see a few of those that I missed that I think I'll be checking out. 2014 is going to be a good year.

Well, from what was revealed at that store, compared to what others have said they've seen, I think we're safe for at least 2 series of GoT!

I would take a guess at Supernatural they have a big Buffy sized fanbase and the only merch that was figural that i can remember i think there was a Dean Winchester bust?

Thundercats did not sell well enough for Bandai there Thundercats Classic figures were great but they did not have enough customer support.
Goonies no chance if any one was going to bother it would have to be a small production run like Mezco Toyz did if any think Sloth only.
Wizard Of Oz possible it is a classic film but unlikely to be made into action figures, staues, bobble heads, dollies items like that but not action figures.

Re: 1st legacy line revealed...
Wizard of Oz has already had both 3.75" and 6" (well, closer to 5") action figures.

Every time I think about the possibilities with this line, I get such a geek giddiness that I haven't felt in forever.
I mean, 6 inch hyper-poseable Firefly, X-Files, Game of Thrones, etc figures?
Too, too much! I hope this line goes on forever!

I soooo hope that you are right! There is an uncanny absence of Supernatural merch, and I've never understood why, since the fan base is not only huge, but also slavishly devoted to the series, ! I would LOVE to have a couple of Winchester brothers figure

Re: 1st legacy line revealed...
Game of Thrones Legacy could tempt me, but I really hope that means there will be a ReAction line too. I think it's a better fit for the series, given the multitude of characters. That's why I still collect 3.75" Star Wars. After thirty-how-many years they are still releasing previously unproduced characters (albeit more infrequently). I think a 6" series will be limited to heavy hitters (which might work better for a collector-based line anyway), and some of the cool, more obscure characters (like Jaqen H'ghar or Thoros of Myr, or second and third tier characters like Varys, Jorah Mormont, Davos Seaworth, Littlefinger, Shae, Gendry, Magaery Tyrell (who wold all make cool figures) would never be considered over costume variants of main characters.
That said ReAction may just be a "4-6 characters per property then done" kind of release schedule. And I don't think that would work for Game of Thrones, so Legacy would probably work better in that case.
