Am I the only one who doesn't like the Pops' black eyes?

They all look googley-eyed to me, like they're frozen in fear. Where are the whites of the eyes? It just looks like big dilated pupils.

I really like Pops, and I've been buying the ones that don't have those solid black round eyes, such as: convention Jax, Halo, biker scout, Heisenberg, RoboCop, Judge Dredd. And then there's GoT white walker, Darkseid, Ghost Rider, Red Skull, where the eyes are round but aren't black, and they also have some facial features, forehead, etc., around them which make them look ok to me.

Then there are the ones like Rocky (boxer) and TWD Hershell, who have some eyelids, which make them closer to ok for me, but it's still just nothing but solid black in they actual eyeball. But the majority of these guys, while really nice, just have those solid black eyes that really bug me.

Although, for me there are a couple of exceptions where solid black works, mainly animals and creatures: Creature from the Black Lagoon, Chewbacca, Gamorrean Guard, Bossk.

Am I alone in this? Has anyone done any eye-modifications, painting, stickers, etc., to "correct" the eyes? I think it would be pretty difficult to match the face color exactly on them, then paint the whites and irises.

They would look like deers frozen in headlights without eyelids. And then I think they would look like they had secrets. Deep, hellish secrets. I can live with their soulless dead eyes. The alternatives are Lovecraftian!

It did kinda bug me at first, and I even considered adding a little white reflective dot in the corners of their eyes to add dimension. Like the Wreck It Ralph guys have:

Now I'm glad I didn't alter any of them. They are what they are.

I suppose you could add that white dot as a little sticker so that it would be removable and technically wouldn't alter the original figure. But I don't think even that would work for me, since there's no whites at all; the black is either the iris, pupil, or both.

I'm sort of glad I don't like the solid black, since that's my limiting factor that keeps me from going crazy and buying a lot more. God of War is my favorite video game so I would've been all over that Kratos, if not for the eyes.

I see the all black eye as just the way Pop's are. I actually have a aversion for Pops with lidded eyes. They look sleepy or doped up.

I think for some POPs the black eyes work and others can't work it as well. The big eyes are what give Funko POPs their charm.

I like the eyes. Plus they look cool in the light (kinda like their glam shots when they have that little white reflection in them)

I wish they could have more color accurate eyes especially for the game of thrones series most of the actors have blue or green eyes yet all their pops have black eyes, I think some pops should have more detail to the eyes or better treatment the white walkers eyes are pretty sick with the pupils and I don't think any pops have brown eyes which would be nice to have

I actually prefer the black eyes on most of the "human pops" if that makes sense? I mean things like the GoT ones and Breaking Bad and normal, human looking superheroes. I'm not a huge fan of other colored eyed pop!s (except white eyes, which make more sense on darker backgrounds)

Yes, I will continue to buy the pops that I like, that's fairly obvious.

The point of this thread is also obvious. If you read my first post fully, you'll see that I asked if anyone had done any mods to change the all-black eyes. That sentence seemed to have gotten lost in the back and forth that followed, except for one person who pointed out about small white highlights. But to spell it out, that was the point of this thread, to see if anyone else preferred a different eye style -and- if they'd done any simple mods to the eyes. Unfortunately, I don't have infinite room in the topic subject, and I already had to shorten it down to what it is now.

I am happy with some pops as-is. I'd like to get more of them, if I could somehow change the eyes on some of them to my satisfaction, so I was asking if anyone else had done so yet.

All collectors are different, and the fact that I don't 100% like every single pop made is a perfectly fine opinion to have. I know I'm new here, and not liking the black eyes seems to be a minority opinion, but I don't think that should offend anyone either.

Nah, it's all good. There are still plenty of pops that are the kind I like, to get, so I'll focus on those. At some point I may try to alter some eyes to see how it looks. But for now, here's an MSPaint mockup of what I'm thinking about. I really want that Kratos, so I might do this to him. Anyway, here's Rocky with non-black eyes. Good, bad, blasphemy?

i like 'em! i actually think the ones that have more than one color (like disney goofy) are kind of funny looking. Personally pops with all red eyes scare me haha, reminds me of albino mice for some reason. So yes, my Flashpoint Bathman is a little creepy to me, he's lucky he's part of my batman collection.

Well, in fairness, the actual figure has white eyes, but the box art shows him with black eyes. Your confusion is understandable.

The ones I think should have the white are Elsa and Anna. I know Elsa has the purple eye shadow around her eyes but I think she should had the white around her eyes
