Opinion time, again.

I just opened and displayed most of my OOTB collections month or so ago. But I'm not entirely happy with it. I've got mores shelves and some room to grow. I don't collect just Pop!, but all Funko products. Should I keep licenses (Marvel, DC, TWD, Star Wars, etc..)together, or production pieces together (all WW I one area, all NodNiks together, etc...). My decision, obviously, just looking for opinions.

Thanks,
John

I would display them by product type, then genre.

I was there yesterday, and they were only 40% off. I missed the BOGO because they couldn't tell me store if the pieces inside came out. I later learned on here that they do. So, I ended up paying $12 more for the pair.

That's a bummer John I was on the fence too, and then I noticed that it said variable length or something on the wrap. So I took a gamble on it hopefully they do the Bogo again maybe after Thanksgiving shopping. It seems the cases are good for about 20-22 Pop! to put inside (10-11) and on top (10-11).

Depending on how tight you want to go. I fit 13 inside the the first one, as a test. I'm hanging it later today. Of course if you try a Jabba the Hut, he takes up two width spaces...

I did a major overhaul of my display the last couple days. The baseball bat cases and the Ikea shelves are new, and I bought a new Sterlite unit. Now I have some room to grow, most lines. I'm still not 100% happy with it, so I'm sure it'll change again in a few months. I'm not particularly fond of using empty boxes as risers either. I just can't find any I like, that don't cost as much or more as the Pop!s ](*,) . So, with no more fanfare, here's my display, the Funko way.

188781887918877
1888118882

And here's some closer looks:
1888318885188861888718888188891889018891188921889318894

The first four of the "closer look" pictures show my beginning attempt to own at least one piece of every production line Funko has produced. I'm trying to get at least one, but I know it's going to a tough job, and I'm not sure I'll be able to do it, but I'm going to try.

For the record, here are the lines I already have:
Pop!, Wacky Wobbler, Wisecrackers (may or may not be WW?), Blox, Mini Wobblers, Computer Sitter, Bookmarks (they got cutoff in the close picture, but you can see them on the side of the shelving unit, third picture), NodNiks, Funko Force, Magnetic Vinyl, Spastik Plastik, Legacy, Cupcake Keepsake, Quog, Plushie, Tin*Tastic, Mystery Minis, the tall Iron Man in the back of the second picture is a bobble bank, so I'm not sure if it's considered a Wobbler, or something else, Fabrikations, Mixo, Boxo, Key Chain, ReAction (I'm not sure what I'm going to do with these, long term. I have some clip strips coming that I'm going to use for a while. They don't seem to play well OOTB [-( ). Then on another shelf, you see I have a Vinyl Invader, a Hikari, and a "dirty" Hikari proto.

So, depending what you count as separate, or the same, I have between 22 and 26 different production pieces. So my four main objectives now are to continue to grow my Pop! collection, to grow my Wacky Wobbler collection, obtain one or more of any production line I don't currently have, and grow my Freddy line. I only have one Freddy, the one that came with my Fun Klub. And as a FunkoFunatic, that's just wrong. But I also want ones that have some kind of meaning to me, not just to have them.

I ran out of shelf space, so I moved the ones I had and bought some more. All I can say is, it's annoying when I run out of shelf space and it's also annoying to see the empty space on the shelves. But if I fill the gaps, I'm out of space again! The struggle is real!

I've always preferred by Pops out of the box, but I can't deny the aesthetic that Funko uses in their box design. Once I have the rest of the shelves installed, I'll be able to display all of my pieces in this manner. Just need to pick up some museum putty to tack these guys down... I hope there's not an earthquake tonight!

Ikea. They're Ribba photo ledges hung upside down. If you're a Family member (it's free to join) they're on sale right now until the 25th (I think).

Jeff that is an AMAZING collection.

Every time I look through this thread I wish I had more room to build bigger displays for my collection. All the displays with the box sideways behind the Pops are just so cool looking!

However, I just finished painting another set of shelves to add to my display wall so hopefully I will have a tiny bit of breathing room...for now.
