Was it a Facebook only contest?
It was run on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram but the only place they posted winners names were Facebook on Twitter and Instagram, they just posted winners have been selected and I couldn't find additional winners on either of those sites.

Rare Freddys command big prices, I get it when they are expensive but a Batman? when compared to Toy Tokyo pricing on even smaller runs... just doesn't add up.

To be fair I think batman has always been more expensive than Freddy. Just look at the metallic blue batman vs the freddys for that year.

Batman is arguably the most recognizable superhero of all time (Superman could be argued too) so I know people will pay big bucks for it. I'm sure there are far more Batman collectors than there are Freddy collectors.
Now I'm waiting for the Freddy Batman Hikari.

I get you and anyone else that defends Batman, but when the 9 other Batmans that have been released are selling for the most part at or below retail, this doesn't make sense.

Re: Lava Batman Glam
Unfortunately the market has changed drastically for everything POP! and Hikari very recently. People are paying insane prices for common pieces simply because they are hard to find and are not patient enough to look for a better deal. But recently the protos and other "rare" items that have been purchased from gemini have been flipped immediately afterwards. Flipped for rather large amounts. As much as I hate to see these prices go to what they are, I understand that if there are people that are willing to spend that kind of money out there then the seller is gonna ask for that much. And in all honesty, as much as it sucks to spend the amounts being asked, I would rather Gemini benefit from those profits and limit what others can flip it to.
I have asked around about the lava batman. I don't know how many were sold but the few people I found out that snagged one are true collectors that will be keeping them in their collection and will appreciate them. I would prefer it to be that way.

At 475.00 I don't think anyone is going to make enough of a profit to bother trying to flip
Sadly a lot of true collectors can't afford that price for a piece of vinyl.
At least the ones that were won in the giveaway will have a base price now when people decide to sell them.

You and mean both, I'm glad only 4 ended up being giving away on the Facebook contest, would've been nice if they gave 5 away and the 5th went to me but hey that's just me

I would much rather see Gemini end up with the money, rather than someone that stalked Gemini just to buy it to flip it but even at these high prices it still happens just the flipper does not make as much. I know you said that didn't happen with these inparticular but give Hikari time to catch on. I just wish there was a MSRP or something, instead of Hey I got these, I can probably get this much for them, let's give it a shot. I realize this all boils down to bitterness, I want a perfect world where collectibles are a reasonable price and flippers do not exist, perhaps we could all ride unicorns to work too

This one is much rarer than the other ones and we all know there are people who have the money to buy them all. Whether they're big time funko collectors or big time batman collectors. I know we have a couple astro boys and Asian figures that have low run sizes but I don't see them reaching this price (it could happen).
Plus I've seen some spidermans, transformers and tmnt go down in price. Spidey is newer while batman and the other two are "older".
Secondly I agree with what everyone has said after my previous comment.

Listen Im not "happy" it was 475, but I do get it. To be honest, I was anticipating it being 600 or more since that's what the Creature Freddy's have been selling for. Even at 600 a piece I have no doubt they would all sell. I was actually a bit relieved (as sick as that sounds) to see it at 475. I agree that there is little room for the secondary market to profit off of these and I'm sure that is one factor in determining the price.
And with it being limited to 24 pieces, a lot of true collectors would be shut out regardless of the price.

I'm really hoping we see some more Hikari Freddys at Fundays this year, Astro Boy maybe
Wouldn't be the worst thing in the world if they were larger runs but I doubt it will happen.

I don't collect Freddy, but I think that those should be super limited runs, for the ultimate collectors. The incentive piece, but I guess that is a double edged sword with flipping.

I kinda agree with this. I don't personally own a Freddy (yet
