Hey everyone!!! So I will be going to Wonder Con in about 3 weeks, 4/4, so is anyone on here willing to buy not at retail? I have never paid much attention to the Crystal Ponies at Cons that I've gone to, but if someone has one they'd like me to keep an eye out for and wants to tell me their max price I can try to help out that way I am still going to try and help more at hot topics and B&N, but I thought if anyone has a price they are willing to pay I can try to help out while I am at Wonder Con, you can message me or write a note on here. I know this thread isn't for flipping, but I know if I see one at a Con and its not insanely priced I don't think I'd mind buying it for my daughter just to avoid ebay, so I thought I'd offer to you guys as well! Stacey if this isn't ok I can edit my post

Also, finally heard back from my ebay person for my daughter's Pinkie Pie and she is on her way! So you can update my list that I don't need Pinkie, Sweetie or Octavia anymore

Oh hey, 4/4 is my birthday! I'd totally be willing to buy a glitter Luna for higher than her retail (but not more than like... $60) if you happen to find one and no one else is willing to buy her for that much.

I'll also be attending a toy convention next month, so I'll put up the same offer of picking up a pony for anyone who doesn't mind paying more than retail. I know some vendors have glitter ponies up sometimes, but they can be pretty reasonable about it. I actually got glitter Pinkie Pie for about $35 last year from the convention.

Ok Renia I'll keep my eyes peeled for Luna. Maybe I'll get lucky! Luna was actually the very first crystal pony I found my daughter, I just thought she was so much prettier than the rest of the Lunas so I got her, then a week later my HT called and said they had a Celestia for me. I was super excited to get them for her for xmas, especially after I started looking into them more and saw how crazy the prices can be!

We've been buying Series 2 of the blind ponies whenever we can find them (our Hot Topic hasn't had them for awhile and it's just been getting harder to find them) but I haven't heard of Crystal Ponies until now.

The crystal ponies aren't mystery minis, they are the chases of the regular sized vinyl ponies.

The price of all of the Crystal ponies (even Spitfire and Bon Bon and Rarity) seem to have finally dropped and leveled off around $49- I finally picked up the ones I wanted on ebay. I will admit, it was a lot less hassle than buying an entire box of them with the hope I would get one crystal, and then trying to sell off the extras... :P

Due to my extraordinary good fortune and the multitude of friends I have made on this board and elsewhere, I have never paid more than $30 for a chase pony (shipped). And I have nearly the whole set, save only Sweetie. I have also been able to help a few other people on this list. What comes around, goes around. Happy collectors help other happy collectors!

I know my fiance may have gotten me one or two on eBay, but he stayed under the $50 limit I told him about. For sure waiting is definitely worth it. There WILL be enough- they seem to get as cheap as about $32.

I had worried that Bon Bon and Spitfire would be exceptions, but I suspected they just needed time to catch up, and sure enough... then I thought surely Rarity would never fall in price- crystal Rarity was CRAZY popular (for obvious reasons, she was destined for translucent glitter). But she did.

So I'm sure Luna will fall too at some point. I don't think Celestia was ever particularly expensive...

Celestia was sooooo much easier to find than Luna was. I found two glitter Celestia's and coundn't even use the extra to trade because everyone I knew had her and was looking for Luna. Would be nice if Luna ends up that easy to find at some point.
