Did I miss something? Are these common now? I thought they were limited to 500 and came out a long time ago, and someone is selling these on Facebook and apparently has a ton of them.....

I don't think these were ever sold at D23. To my knowledge Steve from Gemini got them and sold them all. Not sure on the production run, but it was limited.

I just went back to look at my Gemini order history and here's what the summary says:

Honestly I only ever recall these being sold by Steve as well

These were only ever sold by Gemini. Disney thought they weren't safe for children since some of the edges (such as the ends of Sally's hair) were too sharp/rough.

I'm pretty sure Gemini had a sale on a bunch of "damaged" ones awhile ago for only $25-30 a piece. In fact I picked one up myself, however, I wouldn't be surprised if he bought a bunch and is now flipping them
