So glad I grabbed him when I did. When I first started collecting POPs GoT was the first line I went all in on, so aside from picking up a few other POPs here and there, I mostly focused on catching up all the GoT POPs first. I put Renly off until I realized he was starting to disappear and I hadn't seen him for a while. Literally bought the last one anywhere around me, and never saw him again. Renly and the White Walker were the ones I saved until last.

Talk about a close call.

I remember before I started collecting Pops! I saw like 50 Gandalfs (with the hat), and V for Vendetta. These are my two most wanted Pops! but I don't want to pay more than $20 for them... Because what if I spend $50+ only for them to get unvaulted that same week, or a new varriant comes out? (Gandalf the White in a Lord of the Rings set with Frodo, Sam, Aargorn, Gimli and more please!!!!)

Headless Hershel for me too. Forbidden Planet had him in stock for quite a long time after the Con, but I felt like I shouldn't get him because TWD isn't a line I collect. This was back when I had to have EVERY figure I could get of the main line I collected (GOT). Hershel seemed like he would be a "gateway" Pop and I think I didn't want to open that Pandora's box. I regret it now, especially because It turns out I'm perfectly capable of being selective when I have to.

Oh, and Ursula and Grumpy.

Even bigger shock is the Popcultcha Exclusive Tyrion going for over $100 - it's just a repaint.... It was on their site for ages and it seemed like people weren't really interested. Then BAM, the moment it isn't available anymore prices skyrocket. But to be fair, that will surely never be re-released, whereas Renly might. Still though... :smt103

Passing over common $10 Pink Ranger, Dr Doom, Thing or Ghost Rider. Not buying $30 Peter Parker Comikaze. Passing on $65 Red Skull or Green Phoenix. Passing over $50-100 metallic of Captain America, Spider-man or Deadpool. Now I need them all!

I could write out a big list of pops here but the only one that matters is purple haze. It haunts me so.

Any of the Spongebob Pop figures other than Spongebob himself because I believe he (and to a lesser extent, Patrick, because Funko still lists him on their website) is the only one out of the line still being produced

I
WANT
SANDY..... SO badly... XC

I had 2 chances, too

A local comic shop had her for quite a while

So did Popcultcha

But I had to pass because I was saving money or buying other Pop figures at the time

For about a year and a half all the old DC Pops (Riddler, Penguin, Hawkman and Green Arrow for sure) and some old Disney ones (Belle, Mad Hatter and Sorcerer Mickey among others) sat on a dusty shelf near the checkouts where I worked at a big box electronics store. I had a couple pops at this point, but I hadn't really gotten into them hardcore. They went on clearance one day and I chose to buy The Joker and Maleficent. Had the weekend off and when I came back the lot was gone. I wish I had bought them all.

Also I wish I had kept the boxes for some of my first Pops. Never would have though these things I paid 8 bucks for on ebay would be worth so much. I'm an out of box collector to this day (and sometimes I still toss the boxes away), but had I known then what I know now... Ah well.

I did that with the boxes of my first 2 Pops: Gandalf and Bilbo #-o ;-) I truly don't mind though: I don't have much room and I'm not going to hold on to all of their boxes on the off chance that one of them will be worth big bucks someday. A lot of mine are currently still in their boxes for lack of a good display case, but ideally I only want to keep Con exclusives/chases in their boxes - and I don't have a lot of those - to make room for more acquisitions.

A good deal of the older retired Disney pieces. Ba k when my sister and I saw them, I convinced her not to start collecting because at the time, we were fresh off the Mighty Muggs craze, and I didn't feel like starting another addiction.

And here I sit, now, without the Incredibles or Sully + Mike + Boo...

I also used to see the White Ranger all the time at Barnes and Noble, but never gave him a second's thought. He is now my #1 grail.
Name's Aaron.

SDCC Hannibal. He was £13.99 on FP for a while and i figured id just wait until the normal one came out for less money. Wish id gotten him now!
Also brought Legolas and Bilbo for a friend for Christmas last year but never picked them up for myself as i was seeing them everywhere and thought they would be around for a while. Sadly i was wrong :(
I was lucky with Renly as before him, i only collected Marvel and i only had maybe 5-6 pops, most of which were gifts. I promised myself that the only one to break my 'marvel only' rule was if i managed to somehow find Renly. Id looked at all the stalls at a con i was working and couldnt find him as by this point he was quite rare already, but then literally the next day i found him in a FP in Belfast and snatched him up. Its his fault that my collection has spiralled out of control XD

1950s Elvis. I was at Graceland in Memphis when they were released. I'm a BIG Elvis fan and thought they were really cute. I didn't want to spend money on both, so I just got the 1970s one. If I knew then what I know now, I would have bought them out of both Pops.

Oh no, it wasn't you! I posted before reading. ;-) I found a Flocked Lotso on eBay last week, and someone made an offer that was accepted. He was still really expensive, and it wasn't that I passed up on an affordable POP that's now super expensive. I just passed on an expensive POP that sold for a slightly less expensive price tag. lol

Such a sad thread...lol... Mine would be the earlier Heroes and Marvel line... Riddler, Two Face, Red Skull, etc.... I used to see them around town in movie stores ... When I first started out I collected only Wobblers and said that I would never get into POP!... man, to be able to go back in time!

Hey Beto! :)

Oh man, it was truly terrible. He had him listed for $200 more originally, then dropped the price when it didn't sell and added a "Best Offer" option. They were still asking entirely too much, but I hate that I didn't even attempt to make an offer. It's the first in box flocked Lotso I've ever seen. #-o One day our time shall come. Hopefully. :-({|= lol

Hi Shae,

Yeah, we just need to be patient! :)

For me it was not buying at a Toy Store the following POP!s at different times for regular prices:

Greedo (Blue Box).
Elvis Presley's Collection.
Michael Jackson's Collection.
Batman Villians and Batgirl: Penguin, Riddle, Vane and two faces.

And not buying from eBay, Amazon and other Collectors the following POP!s while they wheren't as expensive or HTF and they're by now:

Buzz Light Freddy
Freddy Krueger Freddy
Batman Freddy
Apollo Freddy
Flying Monkey Freddy
Cereal Ads Freddies
Freddy Vendetta
Flocked Winnie the Pooh
Flocked Lotso
SDCC Chesire Cat
Shazam
Hawkeye
Jimmi Hendrix

At last I had to let go a blue haired Freddy Clone Trooper since I didn't had $2,000.00 USD to shell out at that time on eBay.

This game of collecting POP!s is turning harder everyday. Prices are going nuts IMO.

This is a great thread! Several of my biggest needs right now is the Avengers movie wave from 2012. I saw them everywhere but I wasn't a POP collector back then. Now being a collector I want them all and they are all quite expensive now. REGRET...

I wish I had bought more of the Rudolph series. I'm pretty sure my local comic book shop had the entire line, and I wasn't really collecting Funko at the time. In January, I was able to snag Yukon Cornelius since he's one of my partner's favorite characters. But that was it.

I was never into the vinyl toy scene until about 5 years ago. I became hooked on Vinylmations and drained all of my money into them. I started hearing about these Pop! figures and how they were going to start doing Disney characters. I went to the local Disney store one day and saw that they had Disney Pops 1-14, but I thought they were too bulky and I didn't want to get started on a different kind of toy. Later I also saw that they had all of these DC figure Pops (I think it was at a local B&N) like Riddler, Joker, SHAZAM, Green Arrow. SHAZAM is my favorite DC character, but again, I talked myself out of buying them. I liked the Avengers better anyways...UGH! #-o :(

Legolas and Hatless Gandalf...I remember when the Hobbit and LOTR pops first came out and my B&N had a ton so I decided to wait and hold off on them since at the time there were so many. Went back a week or so later and all gone. Took me a while to find them again as I guess it was at the end of their run and didn't get to pay that original price. Definitely learned from that experience not to wait too long for ones I really want.

I could have gotten Arlia Vegeta during the in store sale they had one Saturday morning and decided to stay home cause it was raining. It was going for $25 at the time. Still mad at myself for that one...

I saw a White Phoenix at the Toy Anxiety at Collectors Marketplace for really cheap. Think it was like 12 or 15 bucks lol. Instead of White Phoenix I bought the Bespin Luke Black Series lol. I did get a Green Phoenix at one of my other comic stores for like 15 bucks, but I threw away the box as soon as I exited the store.

I remember seeing a few a couple years ago before i started collecting and being discouraged by the fact he was a bobble head
Now he's like $70 dollars
Hopefully he will get an update or a re-release

But I don't give up !
