Ah finally- this is the one I was afraid they didn't make (in favor of the NYCC glitter color storm)

Ordered her right away! Although I wish she were $54 rather than $78- but her edition (400) was small enough that I didn't want her to sell out...

I'll try and get better pictures than what I have on Instagram later today, or tomorrow. Depends on when the sun decides to come back out. lol

I was really looking forward to opening the glitterific one, but UPS didn't deliver it before I left for work, so hopefully when I get home it'll be there.

Got my glitterific today, pictured next to the NYCC one. I like the glitterific one better I think, I was kinda surprised by the random red paint at the top and purple paint at the bottom

Very jealous, the metallic RD I received from EE had a very bad paint job on the right side and scratches on the belly. :angryfire:

Somehow the pictures just make her look a lot better. I was very disappointed, especially since the metallic one is one of the expensive ones.

Great picture Renia!

I LOVE the way the clear glitter ones look- especially together! I can't wait to get my last couple from Gemini (I keep adding to my order there, hehe)

My Metallic Dash isn't perfect either- the paint has some thin areas and I can see the wing joint area on one wing. I don't have any major issues though- not enough for me to want to send it back.

I can't wait to line mine all up too!!!

Thanks renirawr & galacticat sorry to hear you had the same paint issues I found on the metallic Dash. Yeah I agree renirawr it's a shame that for $80 the paint job is so poor. Hopefully if & when the gold metallic Dash is released the paint job will be much better. Fingers crossed!

I think the metallic paint is difficult- I know from airbrushing with the stuff myself that it is difficult to work with, and the metal color is actually suspended metal bits- so consistency can be tricky too. So I am not surprised it has issues.

I do wonder if other metallic colored Hikaris have issues- and if it is only the MLP crowd who are dissatisfied with a product that is less than perfect...?

On an unrelated note- hopefully the popularity of Dash will motivate Funko to try a new MLP sculpt- like Twilight or NM...

I think Twilight, Celestia and Luna (or Nightmare Moon) would be beautiful as hikari figures.

So I sorta hope one of the princesses gets the hikari treatment next, although I'd be less inclined to care about Cadance.

At the same time, all that money... lol

As far as I understand it, it's incredibly expensive to create a new mold for a Hikari figure, which is why we see so many variants of existing molds. It's not like creating the new vinyl figures. I would be surprised if we see another pony character, but I imagine if we did, it would be one of the mane 6. It has to be INCREDIBLY SELLABLE. The princess and side figures won't cut it.

I can almost guarantee that Luna would sell. If any princess would would be a big hit as a hikari figure, it's her. If they wanted to stick to the mane 6, Twilight would be logical to have next. That even covers the princess side of things, too.

I won't complain if we don't get another pony as a hikari figure, though. I'm happy with my Dashie pyramid. ;-)

I think we are all so hooked on all the ponies. Some may be a bigger a seller than others but I believe they would all be popular. Of course I am moving just to make more room so who am I to say. lol

Yeah I actually think Luna would be more popular than Dash by far. More popular probably than any character, even though the main 6 are more iconic. I think it would be hard for Funko to guess that though- although they should consider how fast the vinyls sold out and have stayed sold out...

Yup. I've been checking my order on there every few days to see if there's been a change, but nope.

I'm kinda hoping this'll be it for a while. At least the gold ones aren't as enticing for me, whenever those are released.

Aw dang- I just got my box from Gemini- and was super excited and my figures look AWESOME-

but then I remembered- wait, hadn't I ordered that blue glitter Dash ? Looks like they swapped Original Dash for Original Glitter Dash- not a difficult mistake to make, but I am worried now as I see Gemini seems to be sold out of GLitter Original Dash... and I barely wanted ONE of the regular one, definitely not two.

If anyone is still looking to get ORIGINAL Rainbow Dash- I just sent one back to Gemini (was sent to me by mistake instead of glitter) so they should have one now!

They are, alas, out of glitter original but it looks like Amazon has a bunch so I'm not out of luck yet.

I wonder if we'll see the glitter gold sometime soon? That is the last one (besides the BBTS exclusive) that I want. I think I will skip the solid gold one. That is the least appealing to me. But it might be hard to get all of them except one.

I'm glad I broke down and got Noir- she is gorgeous in person...

Er, thanks Tula but truth be told it was not really that great to get the wrong pony. I already had original and now Steve is out of the original glitter (the one I ordered). Plus I had to send the wrongly-shipped pony back on my own dime, which was a bit of a disappointment.

Oh yeah thanks!!!! YEah she looks great! I do LOVE this collection so much.

And yeah, mistakes happen I guess. Thank goodness the glitter original is a pretty large run- she seems to be sold out now at the shops but there are lots on ebay and Amazon so I probably won't have too much trouble getting her.

I have the EE metallic, NYCC Glitter Storm, and Glitter Noir (which I think is my favorite...so far) ones. I said I wasn't going to collect all of these. But, somehow, by magic or something - the blue glitter and glitteriffic hikaris jumped in my Amazon cart and I bought them. lol

So now I'm telling myself I'm only going to collect the glitter/metallic variations (since I'm really partial to glitter and metallic variants. :^o

, but we'll see how long that last before the BBTS Color Storm winds up in my collection. ;-)
