Dorbz Shelf

Postby zaghawk » Thu Mar 31, 2016 1:49 pm

Just curious has anyone made some kind of dorbz shelf where you can notch a little hole in it specifically for Dorbz so they can all sit in ihem?

Not sure if Dorbz are all standard sizing on the bottom.

I believe they all have the same base size? I just bought acrylic risers even though some of them are weighted differently I've had no issues with any of them standing. Also if you notched the holes it would be hard to account for the width of some of there bodies and wings funny hats and stuff, so you really couldn't preplan that kind of shelf you'd have to notch as you buy.

Curious to why you would want to lock them in there? Dorbz usually stand without wobbling. at least the few that I have

Yeah the Batman's have a cape that sweeps, Ghostbusters hold items that are a bit low too so it would definitely be notch as you go. If the fear is that they may topple over just use a little earthquake putty on the bottoms.

If you want to secure them down, but not do a lot of work, get some Poster Tac from a hobby store and put it on the bottom of the figure. It doesn't ruin the paint or the surface you apply it to.

Epoxy and nails work, too.

Thanks all. I actually use the museum putty for my POPs. But just was curious if they all had the same base size for something that could be done with an acrylic riser that could look cute with them semi locked into place. But looks like they're not all standard. Thanks all.

I think its a great idea but even though bottoms are standard their capes and such make it odd :) But I think an acrylic riser would look great. Maybe if you group them by similar type. Like all Batman's that would work....The rest are all about the same so far.
