They should just give Batman his own numbered line already. That super friends variant is cool tho.

Yeah the Rainbow version was actually something I wanted. The new mold and all its variants have a lot of rehashed stuff. For instance, I'm not getting White Lantern or Blackest Night because well...I have them already. I may get the Super Friends version but thats it.

Re: Keep the Batman variants coming...!

it’s the same sculpt as the other new ones, so it doesn’t have the detailing that the michael keaton batman should probably have. but i think that’s probably what this is supposed to represent. what do you guys think?

I ordered it from FP and the description stated that they had no idea what the Pop is based on. They assumed Keaton like us though.

I'm a Batman collector, so I'm down for all of this. But my bank account would really like a slow down in the Batman productions for just a little bit. Give me a couple of months to catch my breath

Grail: Batman Freddy
Desperately want: Flashpoint Batman, SDCC Blue Batman.

I love the Super Friends version but already have a Keaton version from the GS Black Friday box. Same reason I skipped the White Lantern Batman and the Blackest Night Batman....already have a version of them.

Re: Keep the Batman variants coming...!
This really isn't a Keaton Batman, though. Check out the Batman Returns Dorbz. They got the Batman '89 symbol right on that one. Even if it was from Batman Returns, the details (gloves, cowl, boots, belt) would be at least as detailed as the Bale or Arkham Batmen. Remember, the bat-symbol was connected to the cowl in the two Burton movies. This is just a repaint, and an easy way for Funko to save money. It's not truly representative of any comic or movie, much like the imposter wave or the gold and silver Batmen.

i agree with everything you said.
but funko also released a green-painted deadpool and labeled it solo, and a blue-painted deadpool and labeled it foolkiller... even though the costumes and weaponry for those two characters would seem to make them more complicated sculpts than that. the fact is, if this is what funko decides is 'michael keaton batman,' then it might be all we ever get.
i’m just wondering if this really IS supposed to be keaton, or if it’s more in line with what you said... they just painted the new sculpt in black to make some extra cash.

Looks to me like it's based on Bruce's brief all back suit he donned after Knightfall.

Good eye! I guess it's a variant that's supposed to look like the comic version of the Michael Keaton bat suit.

FP also mentioned the 'Troika' storyline but I wasn't familiar with it, good spot! Speaking of Knightfall, I wonder when we'll get that version in pop form...

Re: Keep the Batman variants coming...!
That's the suit he wore after the Prodigal story line. It actually wasn't all black, either. It was actually supposed to be black and dark gray, and was nearly always depicted as two-toned. It lacked underwear and had leg fins on the side of the boots (you can kind of see them in this picture). The Pop has no leg fins and seems to have the underwear (I assume because it's just a repaint meant to look Keaton-ish).
My hope is that Funko releases a proper Michael Keaton Batman from both Batman Returns and Batman. I can't be the only nitpicky fan out there!

Fugitive still has them in stock on their website, you just have to buy them in the bundle with the Steamboat Willie dorbz. If you don't want the dorbz, then you could probably sell or trade it to somebody who doesn't want the POPs.

I checked there, but it says out of stock. I would've been up for ordering the bundle, as I definitely want those two Batmen.
