Ok I just saw it on a pre order list at my local GameStop, so is it still cancelled?

There's 2 on eBay, both with real pics... bidding is at $200 and $250, but if random eBay sellers got them, well, hmmmm that's a good question.

Not that Gamestop has ever sold PreOrders when POP!s have already been cancelled - *cough*HOT RYU*cough*grumble*cough*

So I've been lurking in the r/funkopop reddit and there have been a couple posters saying they've found the Nick Morton Pop. Now this could be just a few strays that made it out of the production run. Or maybe the figure was just delayed, much like the Alien: Covenant ones that are finally hitting stores just this week. I mean I just don't see why Funko would allow boxes with a figure on the back that they never will be able to release. Also, and I know this is gonna sound dumb since I created this thread. But I can't find any official announcement from Funko that the figure was officially cancelled. It was more heresy from fans blogs and what not. So I'm optimistic right now lol

Nick Morton is on there but they wouldn't allow me to pre order it yet. But I can't pre order lotr pops that's on the list either and I know those are coming out

Seriously, the way things are playing out it seems this Pop was just delayed. But I'm being super optimistic at this point.

This ^^. I've seen businesses put the cart before the horse in the past and it never turns out well.

Yes, we have boxes from Funko showing figures that are delayed indefinitely ('The Romance of the Three Kingdoms' Pops aside from Guan Yu come to mind), but delays can happen for one reason or another. I just don't see Brian and his team commissioning a sculpt and finalizing the artwork on the boxes before buttoning down the licensing issues, especially for a major Hollywood film.

Still, this sort of thing helps to keep us Funatics busy.

A few may find their way out to the public...but Brian just said that they were 100% cancelled, so you wont see these released at all.

You can't pre-order the LOTR ones because they are already released.

well, i just saw Brian's post saying it's 100% cancelled, but i was going to mention the Twin Peaks line and The Giant going from Chase status to common.... a few figures in the chase box still made it out to the public.

I'm curious to know as well. I saw someone bought one that had the mummy in the Tom Cruise box. My guess is that the cancellation was done late and they had already produced some. They were probably supposed to destroy (?) them, but the factory misplaced some in the other shipments. Just a guess.

not really much of a loss since the movie was god awful, why would you want a Tom Cruise pop for a character he was completely miscast for

Thats not really the same. In this case the figure is cancelled vs being changed into a common from a chase status. Not really good comparisons.

Didn't see the movie, but I haven't heard too many good things about it. I'm not a completist, so I was only ever going to buy the Ahmanet and The Mummy Pops. I feel bad for those who wanted the Morton figure, though.

Actually, now that I re-read Brian's response, it sounds like The Romance of the Three Kingdoms Pops are also cancelled, which kind of bites as I was looking forward to those.

Well, I saw the movie it was ok. I don't have a problem with cruise playing nick Morton. the girl who played the mummy was most interesting part of the movie to me.
