OK, but you gotta pay me back, and I'm what they call "High Maintenance". If you wanna rethink this it's ok.Squird wrote:Rat Fink Dennis wrote:I'm planning on it for sure. It'll be my Burfday weekend, so it'll be a treat for me.retrobmxr wrote:is anyone planning on going to this show?

Taken right from the fx show website, here it is:
This year’s event features the “Space Monkey Needs Love Too” figure graciously donated by Wunderland War Toys and “Less Than Jake” drummer Vinnie Fiorello. You know how much FX loves space monkeys!
50 Space Monkeys will be decorated by today’s famous and upcoming artists in a 2 hour JAM event to be held at the FX Show Friday, January 25th from 5pm—7pm. The figures will then be displayed throughout the weekend for fans to view and vote for their favorite. The winning artist will take home a great prize package TBA. On Sunday, January 27th at 3:00 PM the decorated monkeys will be auctioned off. All proceeds from the sale of the customized monkeys will benefit The American Cancer Society. This is a one-of-a-kind event sponsored in part by Uberbot.
Rules:
1) Artists will apply to participate and be accepted on a first come first served basis. There are only 50 monkeys, so don’t wait. There is no cost to be involved. Please send an email to info@fxshow.com with your contact information and a photo of your artwork for reference.
2) You may use whatever medium you prefer. Keep in mind that the base coat is latex and some solvent, oil or alcohol based finishes may not work.
3) We will have some supplies available, but encourage you to bring some of your own to add to the customization.
4) As this is a charitable event we ask that your finished monkey be no worse than “R” rated.
5) Any spray work will have to be done outside the building on the loading dock.
6) You will have exactly 2 hours to complete your monkey.
