What is your Favorite Convention Exclusive?

Sorry if this is a post that already exists, but I recently asked this question in my local FB group and I really enjoyed reading the responses.

With ECCC now behind us, I must say that it was one of the best Con experiences I have ever had. With a bunch of Funatic friends coming for the convention, it was also the first time I made an effort to be more Funko focused at a Con.

I managed to score all the exclusives I was hoping for and then some! The best part of the whole experience was being able to spend time with old friends and make new ones! It’s great to finally be able to put beautiful smiling faces to the names I have been following and commenting along with on the Boards. I can’t wait until SDCC when I get to see everyone again!

For me, the first Pop!s I ever got was from a Con almost 2 years ago: Stormtrooper Conan at SDCC 2016. It remains one my favorites and definitely my favorite from a Con. It started me on the path of collecting Funko and I am still great friends with the people I met at that Con while in line for Conan.

So what’s your favorite Con exclusive and why?

My favorite Convention Exclusive is the WW2 Captain America Pop. The only Pop I've every played hookie from work to obtain, since it was released on the morning of a work day.

Glow BMO (SDCC 2014). Didn't get it at the con, but he's by far the best glower I have. You can use him as a nightlight. I was disappointed by the ECCC 2016 glow BMO, though.

It always amazes me how crazy people get after a convention, at least with the pop prices. A friend sent me a text photo of ebay listings for Yondu, and while some of them were reasonable, I couldn't help but laugh at the ones for over $100. I mean, seriously? C'mon people!

got that right! The spare that i got ended up being let go for retail and shipping. I normally order two (mainly for shipping reasons) and let the other go to break even or have shipping paid. Making a quick buck isn't as fun as making new friends!

I have 2 favorite Con Exclusive; Indiana Jones and Blue Chrome Batman.

Indiana Jones is one of my favorite characters in the movie. I even had dreams to be an archaeologists and dug in people's yards to find dinosaur bones. What makes this one more special is the fact that it was the very first Indiana Jones Pop and it was my very first time going to SDCC and my very first time getting into the Funko Booth.

Blue Chrome Batman is absolutely one of my favorite Pops, period! I love Batman. I love blue. I definitely love the way the bat symbol just pops off the blue. This was my 2nd time at SDCC and was lucky to get into the Funko Booth for a consecutive year. With all the hype on the other chrome Batman pops, I'm soooo happy to have just this one. Means more that I slept in line overnight and got into the Funko Booth on the first day (Thursday) during the first time (9:00 am) to get this guy.

Although I'd rather get more sleep and on a bed, for some crazy reason, I love the thrill of the hunt and the fact that I earned getting these Funko Pops. I have a love/hate relationship with waiting in lines.

I'm so bitter about that one because I camped out with everyone. There was a guy in front of me who camped out and had an Ada sticker. They told him he could not go to the ada line. Then 30 minutes before they handed out wristbands 6 people ran to the Ada line. They said it was their 3rd day going through. I missed out on it by 1.

WOW. what a bummer, man. i've heard stories of shady practices in the booth lines. definitely not cool at all.

Yeah it was. Hopefully this year it will be better but there will always be people who do those types of things in order to get what they want. I am sure the same people who did that will be there again this year. Hopefully, they can regulate some of that.

Meanwhile...I'm not surprised at all!
