I am almost positive its real. When we went to the Making Fun showing in San Diego, Michael Becker hinted at the cereals coming from Funko.
That's good to hear. In that case, bring on the cereals!!

Just another step in Brian’s grand master plan to recreate his childhood Saturday mornings. A funko original cartoon will probably come next..

I’m thinking each box should have a chase, otherwise, most people are not going to buy more than one or two boxes.

This looks awesome. I'm probably going to try them all. Just wonder if it's going to be a limited release or just a constant. I think the cereals changing colors (the Freddy Krueger milk turning red is cool.)

Becker knows us so well — I'll definitely be buying one to open and one to display. Will need all the horror ones + Freddy

I should probably do this... but I still have a huge weakness for sugary cereal.

Re: Funko Cereal!
If people wouldn't open their geoffreys to see if they won a trip to the HQ I dont think anyone would be willing to open their un resealable cereal to look for a chase How many would just buy a bunch in hopes that there would be a chase in one, or or cereal boxes with chase stickers
Personally I like frosted cheerios, so if funko ever does some frosted toasted oats with a tony the tiger or maybe Elsa, ill be all over it.

Re: Funko Cereal!
When I reads what mike said “Elvira Mistress of the Dark, will turn black, and the Freddy Krueger cereal will turn red, when milk is added." Make me thrilled can’t eakt to milk it
Lonikins wrote:Full article for everyone:
http://www.coronadonewsca.com/news/coro ... d5ac8.html
"An unexpected element from the interview was Becker releasing a world-wide exclusive news item about a totally new Funko product line. “One of the fun things is we are about to release our own line of cereal, with a mini-Pop inside. We got all the cool licenses like He-Man, Wonder Woman, Elvira Mistress of the Dark, Freddy Krueger and our own Freddy Funko. We start pping to stores in June and we have the distribution set up and the product is pre-sold. It’s just one more of those feel-good Funko items. I used to watch cartoons on Saturday mornings while I was eating cereal. There are prizes in the cereal and it will sell for $7.99 a box. When you add milk to the Freddie Kruger cereal, it looks blood red. With the Beetle Juice cereal, when you add milk it looks like slime. The idea is to sell the cereal to retailers who carry collectibles. We can’t compete with Kellogg’s at Ralphs. We think people will buy one box to stock and one to rock. They’ll probably open one box and enjoy it and never touch the other one, because it’s a collectible.”"

I wonder how many people never see the pops inside? Start asking for sealed boxes?
For me, I will grab them all and eat them all. Just like I did with the soda.
