Do you buy two of each Pop? One to open and one to save?

I'll add to your question, do you buy two of the same if one is a chase, I use to but stopped, gets two expensive.

Depends on the pop - I will usually pick the version I like the best if I don't love both of them. Like baby driver - I would only get the regular of him with sunglasses, but I only have the chase version of Eleven right now. But if I like both the chase and regular then I will get both.

You know what I never thought about the fact that some do actually look better in there non chase form... man, but so much money to spend on so many doubles.... excited for fdo?

It does happen! It's all about how the Pop looks to me - if it doesn't make a huge difference or look awesome as a chase I probably won't bother. I'm not a must have all the chases ever. And yay FDO!

I thought about it with Orphan Black too (my fave) one to keep one to do stuff with but i have only just started collecting, I may do that with Buffy too. , Resident Evil and Tomb Raider

Most things i collect I like to get 2 of each, 1 to open and 1 to not. Very special ones, high end, or exclusives i try to to open. I always try to grad a 3rd retail version to open.

I've done this only with the 10 inch Pops. I opened my Hulk with the broken hammer and kept the unbroken hammer Hulk in the box. Did the same with Baby Groot too and Porg (only one Porg though)

I tend to open all of my pops....very very carefully and display them in front of their boxes. I think it looks really good that way, you can pick up the pop, look at the detail. Also....I don't have enough cash to buy everything twice

I tend to display mine in box - but if I really really want some out of the box, I'll buy duplicates. Mostly it's Cap pops.

I used to get 2 of everything. 1 for In-Box and 1 to display. But that got expensive really quick

I only get 2 of the one I really like. Mainly one OOB to travel around with me, work desk, photos..you know..fun stuff. And the other to shelf at home.

I love this idea, but for a huge collection this just isn’t feasible. I do take some of mine OOB Zander store the boxes really well so they can be rehoused if I change my display

I did this with only one pop before. It was Roddy Piper. The first one I found had a crushed box but I bought it anyway and took him out then found a better one later and bought it, too!

For the most part I'll display OOB until a new set is purchased and ready to be displayed. Then back in the box the other pops go.

this here. for exclusives I always buy 2. one to keep and one to trade for something I want later. I got a Mudtrooper specifically to trade later for something I missed and really won't. I'm almost guaranteed to miss one of the Jack Jacks or I'm stil lmissing an ad icon.

Do you buy two of each Pop? One to open and enjoy, and one to save mint in the box for collecting purposes?

I only ever did that with the orphan black pops because I wanted some out on my desk. I haven't bought any duplicates in addition to those.

I only have doubles of certain ones but those are my swap meet finds really, usually take my pops OOB anyways so don't need to keep anything in box.

I sometimes buy 2 of the same Pop but not really to have an extra to "hold on to"... Every once in awhile I will get two for NiB and OoB and rarely so i can display the same Pop! in multiple rooms. I have 5 of the Knight from DS3, one for each room, haha!!

only for ones I know I want one that is pristine, and one out (VERY rare) usually it comes down to accidently having 2 of the same pop because I forgot I already had it

If its a pop that I like, I will buy two. If I buy two commons, one is oob, but if it is two expensive/exclusive pops, most of the time both are in box.

I started buying doubles for the purpose of keeping one in box and opening one, but I can’t seem to open the doubles either... like my Sexy Goldblum . Both are in boxes so I haven’t been able to do Goldbluming pics. I may have to start buying triples

Nope. The only time I've bought doubles is when I've forgotten that I already owned a particular Pop (and I've done is more than once, I'm ashamed to admit).

I do this too, and also to double my chances of getting a non-damaged Pop

I do this on new ones now if I really like them. I did for Tasmanian devil, Ewoks 3 pack and Wall-e most recently. Sometimes the details are just too good to keep boxed up.
