Where Do You Have Your Pop Signed?

I see a lot of Pops signed on the clear plastic window of the box, but I'd think that it's be easy to crease (or even break) that plastic if a person signs it with a strong hand.

Do folks have a preference?

I know right? I've a Carson Wentz Pop I'm dying to get signed, but then I started thinking the whole "where" bit...so would love to hear folks' ideas and stuff.

The front. I open the pop and have them hold the plastic while they sign.

I have been avoiding getting any signed because I want to see them, but on the other hand, I'd love to get some signed. Especially my Fatman Kevin Smith and Elvira. Oh, and Elvis. He's still alive, hiding out.

It seems almost everyone gets pops signed on the clear plastic. I feel like I am the only one who is not a fan of that location. If the window has writing all over it I think it is harder to see the pop. For me it's gotta be the top of the box or sometimes if the sign is small enough (like Conan O'Brien) over the picture on the front.

Mostly the plastics of the pop box. But some have signed the front pic on the left side of the box and some have signed the top. Jason Mamoa signed the plastic and the top of the box on mine. I feel the plastic shows the best of you have the right marker.

Yes, the colored pen to stand out, and even match the box/character is the way to go.

All mine are signed on the window. And most are signed with paint pen. If I have to use a sharpie I try to get it sign with a silver sharpie.

I like it one the plastic window unless they insist on using a black sharpie. Doesn't look great compared to silver or another bright color. IMO

Most of mine are on the window, except for my Hulk. Lou Ferrigno signed it on the face in the front of the box. Who am I to stop him?

I flatten the box before giving it to the talent to sign. It's easier for them to sign when it's flat on the table and it's easier for me to carry

I'm with you on the Kevin Smith one. We got them last year and now I'm kicking myself in the butt for not having him sign it. Might have to bring it with me this year to get it signed, or maybe keep an eye out for local appearances here on the East Coast. That might be a tad bit easier.

This is a good idea. I’ll have to remember that for next time. I have had issues where the window had too much give.

This is a good idea. I’ll have to remember that for next time. I have had issues where the window had too much give.

Seconding this...I'd be concerned about the creases being bent multiple times, but just unfolding the box once for a signature shouldn't be a big deal. And probably makes for a better surface to get a better signature. Great idea really.

I only have the Zach Ryder Pop from NYCC signed and its on the front plastic. Seems to make the most sense to me.

I personally don't go for autographs of any sort, but I know the most popular place is on the window using some sort of bright oil based marker.... I've heard the case for signing the actual figure itself because you can replace a box, but not the figure. what's funny is that I know some people will sign wherever they want to.... like conan Obrien will sign the top of the box or on the front of the box over his face....

I get mine signed on the window and I try to match the marker to the pop or the box so it blends and doesn't look out of place. I like to think that the people signing know how much pressure to sign with so you don't get the plastic broken but I guess anything can happen if they aren't paying attention or signing in a rush

I’m also not a fan of having them signed on the plastic window, as I want to be able to see the Pop. I prefer autographs on the top. I bring Pops I want signed in a hard Pop stack and simply remove the top lid and hand it to them to be signed.

First choice is on the plastic window with an oil-based paint marker

Second choice is top flap of box with a reg perm marker

After its signed it goes straight into pop stack!

I think the window or anywhere on the front is great. I don't like when they sign the top of the box. It's the worst when they sign the top of the pop itself... I have a signed Manny Pachinco, and I've still no idea how to have him displayed.

For the couple that I have, I used a white Sharpie oil based paint marker on the window. It looks fantastic.
