Help with broken piece on a pop.

Postby Mack » Tue Jul 31, 2018 10:11 am

My SDCC Olenna Tyrell pop has a broken wine glass. I’m not sure how to fix it or get a replacement. Can anyone help me out. Sorry if this isn’t the right place to post this. Thanks

Are you able to post a picture of it?

Personally I still haven’t figured out how to post pics on here but yah I agree with others usually glue works when I break pieces.

Since you can’t see the picture, I’ll try to explain, the wine in the glass is in two pieces, both glued in incorrectly, with the larger portion on top not being in the glass completely, but rising from the top. I can’t move either piece.

A pic would def help. A little hard to visualize from the description.

The best way to post pics is to use a pic hosting site (like Flikr or Photobucket) then link in your post to the pic. There is a thread on how to do it somewhere here.

I suppose you could use a hair dryer to dry to soften the glue and pull out the "wine" with tweezers so you can re-position and re-glue. But the extended heat may have other consequences. Some of our custom makers on here probably have a better solution.

Superglue won’t work in this situation, as the problem is that the piece is glued incorrectly.

I second reaching out to custom makers here on the boards. You could also try something that would loosen the glue like goo-be-gone or nail polish remover
