I’m fine with people using “girl group” and “girl band” interchangeably, but I find it weird that people are referring to bands with a frontwoman as “girl bands”. Yeah, the lead singer is female, but the rest of her band is all dudes.

. Band to me means they are playing instruments while groups are more the singer/performers.
