Kobe Bryant "rookie" pop - same pop inside, different box #

I see 2 different versions on ebay:
1) purple jersey #8, box #24 that seems to be more expensive
2) purple jersey #8, box #11 that seems to be cheaper

How/why can the pop inside be the same, but the box numbers are different?

The funko app shows choice (1) above with box # 24. Feel safer going with that one.

Thoughts?

I know the jersey #8, box #24 was an exclusive with Bait a couple years ago for SDCC (purchased mine directly). I’m not 100% sure but either the jersey #8, box #11 was another release or is fake. The Kobe jersey #24 came with box #11 and was the first to release with the NBA pop line

There was a funny issue with a Lebron james pop too from what i remember. The Lebron’s released at NYCC one year from Toy Tokyo had Miami heat on the back of the box but i think it was a cavaliers Lebron Pop? Can’t remember correctly but i thought it was interesting.

Or it could have been the reversed. Cavaliers box woth a miami heat Lebron pop

LOL I have this one too! it's a Cavaliers front and POP but on the back it says Miami Heat... this was a legitimate box error, quality control has improved. Continuing with my original reply, I'm not sure if the "fixed" boxes are legit or not, but for me I want the original regardless if it had an error or not, at least I know it's coming from the original source.

So hard to keep track of all this information about pops. I remember the days when I used to know all the little tidbits but nowadays it’s almost impossible with so many pops

I think the #24 box is the correct one, this is due to the fact if you check series 3, there is no #24 Pop there.
