I haven't seen anything about Pops for Joaquin Phoenix Joker. Kinda surprised.

I'm guessing the license is hard to get since I haven't seen much merchandise in general. It's a really popular movie too, with lots of demand from Funko Funatics. I want a Pop! of this so bad.

Highly unlikely at this point, but who knows what might happen in the future. I recall reading that the director/studio purposely refrained from promotions and merchandise/toys in order to give the film a more "serious" feeling. :-k

One thing thats really weird about Funko and licensing is that they will have say, DC and Marvel, but NOT DCU or MCU... since technically those are also owned by w/e production company puts them out. This has happened in the past like with movies like Deadpool 2. They don't have the cinematic license, so they just released another wave of generic comic book Pops.

My guess is Warner Bros hasn't released the license yet for merchandise at all.

Really could have been anything, the controversy around the movie, other projects going on, studio not signing off on the concepts in time. Should see it with how successful the movie has been.

There's been exactly zero pieces of merchandise from this movie. Warner Brothers went into it saying that they wouldn't merchandise the film and they've stuck to that.

With it about to break one billion dollars and its low budget, Joker is now the most profitable comic book movie for DC. Merchandise will come eventually I'm sure, but the movie's subject matter and tone are polarizing, and WB is playing it safe for now.

I think there is still a good possibility. I mean, it took them forever to release a new John Wick pop.

I do wonder if Funko's partnership with DC doesn't extend to DC Black Label which is what the movie is under...

Seems in line with the mood of the film... other than those tourists running to get pics at the stairs, there hasn't been much!

thoroughly enjoyed the movie, would be excited to see this come into fruition. I think the joker and tv host moment would be too hardcore

So many customizers have done their take/interpretation of the Joaquin Phoenix Joker.... but the only one that will matter is if Funko does one...their artist always does a great job capturing the look on the pops they make.

was a big fan of the movie, and with the success of the movie (making what, over a billion dollars?), it does feel very odd that they haven't done any merchandise for it. I've seen some really rad customs, but will continue hoping for an official one!

I don’t think we should give up hope completely on this as we still have New York toy fair coming up but one thing I am really hoping is that if they do a line for this it is really really small. Maybe 2-3 pops for it tops.

I'd love a one off of just Arthur Fleck in his makeup, no need for a whole line for me at least. But I completely understand why there wouldn't be merchandising for the film as well
