Academy Awards

What do you guys think about specific Academy Awards moments being a new line? It could be golden versions of the winners or the winner in character, or maybe if they rocked some specific memorable outfit. And of course, there could be a line of the hosts and some of the best wardrobes/gags they’ve done.

I don’t know, would be a fun new kind of line to work with. And maybe it could spread to the other awards shows like the Grammys.

Great idea. Personally, i'd like a pop-ified version of the trophy like the moonman. haha.

I think the actually award itself would work but 90% of the movies outside of animated feature probably wouldn’t happen any given year. Who all bought the La La Land pops?

Great idea! Not only could we have an Oscar Pop, but the winners each year holding their Oscar would be fun...

I think maybe one of Oscar (the statue would work) but certain films just wouldn’t work- like who would actually buy from Green Book- I mean, I really liked the film but the characters just wouldn’t work in pop form

Agree. A sticker and maybe even a special box would be cool. Some of the past winners I would want a Pop for are Birdman, Slumdog Millionaire, No Country for Old Men, Departed, or Hurt Locker.

I think a Best Actor or Best Actress, maybe Best Director, would be fun - easier than a whole movie.
But then again, they could make one or a few from each Best Picture winner each year...

I would like the trophy itself, not sure about actors though. People in different outfits are my least favorite style.

With La La Land and Shape of Water, maybe one film each year. Moonlight surprised in 2017, otherwise I could see what Funko is trying to do.

If they made a pop from any moment from Hugh Jackman's opening musical number I would buy.

Especially, Hugh with his Craiglist dancers, Hugh and the Reader dancers, hell Hugh at the end as Wolverine. Buys.

Definitely, and to might make sense for movie moments to come fairly quickly since many are recognizable from singular scenes.

That’s a fair point. Although I do think some things are about timing. If you release it at the right moment i think it’s can do well. Or, if they’re SE, they could be limited, which always helps get a little interest.

I see your point though.

We have pops of so many of the actors in some form, it ought to be easy enough to get them a new version with the award in hand.

Man, I’m loving the idea of making the packaging special. Maybe a golden box, with a Oscars sticker, and of course, I’m always down for limited editions. Lots of good ways to go with this!

that seems like a really fun idea, a nice way to immortalize the moment for some of the actors in pop form. I think even if they just made pop versions of the trophies that would be cool.

I would say the oscar trophy would made a cool pop but there's not much detail to it. At least not like the mtv moonman.

A shelf commemorating the oscars each year would be a great addition to the collection. I always seem to forget who won a couple years ago, then I could just look right to my shelf.

Glad to see people like this idea. Seeing the news about the Hollywood exclusives being in gold for thewalk of game star ceremony gives me hope that we’re going to see more connected to Hollywood!

Also, love being close enough to snag the exclusives!

I think we'll see a lot of great things/connections happening at the Hollywood store, so many possibilities...I mean its Hollywood after all. Best of luck with getting the gold sleestak and H.R Pufnstuf. I'm a little jealous I live so far away.
