Licensed Paka Paka
Do you think Funko will ever try doing licensed Paka Paka, similar to what is sold in Japan? Such as Disney, Marvel, DC, anime, etc?

I think for now they’ll stuck to their own creations, since soda is basically doing the job for them. I also like how Funko has some new original characters
Hi, I'm Alex. I started collecting Funko in 2016, and love Wacky Wobblers, Hikari, Pop!, and Spastik Plastik! I love superheroes, basketball, collecting, drawing, and having fun. I also love attending conventions like E3, LACC, and DesignerCon.

Well, I do as well. I like the designs they've settled on using.
But I wouldn't mind seeing some licensed stuff down the line. Would make the vending landscape more gashapon-like.

That's just the Japanese name for the small items that are dispensed randomly from vending machines, the Paka Paka machines are modeled off of them.

I predict the licensed stuff will stay as Mystery Minis while they do their own creations with Paka Paka, but that could change!

Re: Licensed Paka Paka
I think Paka Paka will mostly be Funko's own creations while MM are the licensed versions (they're both simple blind box systems, so it makes sense to keep them under different lines).
Funny enough though, Soda Kats is actually a re-licensed product and not a Funko original.

Oh yeah those are better than the ones in the US. They are really expensive though, or at least at LACC

I'm not quite sure if they would ever do licensed Paka Paka; but if they do, I would like to see Pokemon. They would have so many options with it!

I’m not sure about this, but I like Funko’s version.

Re: Licensed Paka Paka
I’m pretty sure the whole point of paka paka is that it’s original designs, even tho soda kats is more of a designer toy. A licensed paka paka would just be a mystery mini. But if they’re going to colab with more designer toy brands for future paka paka lines I’d be down with that!

I'm sure they will if this line takes off well enough.

It would be so dangerous. But I like the challenge.

I'm sincerely hoping for that.
As for people saying licensed Paka Pakas are just Mystery MInis, I think it depends. If the hypothetical licensed Paka Pakas are just re-dones of MMs, then yeah. But if they had different designs, molds, concepts, I would say no. I guess we'll see what the future has in store!

I’d be for it. I love these lines. Using the machine makes me feel like I’m at casino yet not losing as much money. Lol

Yes! I love using the machines, and I do get the casino feel as well, and I think it'd be even more fun for Funko to use licenses as well.
