Or have other collectors started to only buy stickered, exclusive, Con related, specialty, etc...?

It is rare that I see a common pop! that I feel like I need to add to my collection. I feel like I have to be extra choosey because I just don't have that much space anymore.

Anyone else feel the same way? Am I missing out on something?

Space crunch is real but if I see something I’m a big fan of gotta gets it! Just gotta consolidate to make room for it

I do, but if they come out with the same sculpt that is a Glow or Flocked variant.. I replace the common with the exclusive.

I totally have nothing against buying common funkos. We are all mostly in it to get things that we like and think are cool. Me personally now I’ve run out of room and are trying to only get rare funkos of lines I collect.

I've been much more selective in the lines I collect due to space. It seems like I get more Disney stuff these days (more for my wife than for me). There some more office coming out this fall I believe so I'll get those when they come out - gotta stay 100 haha

We still try and buy as many common pops as our budget will allow, especially if they are apart of one of our main lines. But we still have to pace ourselves, I feel it’s kind of impossible to keep up, the common pop releases are weekly, sometimes daily it’s just too many…lol

If there is a random common I want, I will get it every time. The recent Elliot and E.T. common was a must buy whether it was a common or not.

And for some lines I still buy all of the commons even if there are exclusives - Stranger Things, My Hero Academia, Demon Slayer, and probably a few others are lines I try to buy everything for including the commons. But because of space there are some lines where I try to limit to one of each character. As example of this is Ms. Marvel: I wanted a MM Pop, but I don't have the space to display a bunch of them so I had to decide between the common and the Amazon exclusive.

We've definitely become much more selective as the years have gone by! Just can't afford the space anymore (looking at you Marvel). I'm also hating that they're starting to revive older sets that were stable for several years (i.e. Bobs Burgers)!

With commons, I will usually wait to see when the entire line is out and pick and choose what I want from that whether common or not. With a few lines I collect, I'll buy everything but I've started to slow down due to space

I do the same, or a metallic variant. I did this with the 6" EVA Unit 01 POP! since there was a common release, then a bloody variant exclusive. But if it's a small set to complete then I don't mind getting the mainline/common figures if they're standard sized. But if they're larger then some decisions have to be made.

I'll rarely buy commons nowadays to be honest. Once your room is literally filled top to bottom with pops you have to start being selective unfortunately and with there being so many releases of the same mold just with different features like GITD or metallic, I usually end up getting the exclusives over the common that can be got at any shop.

I still do if they mean something to me or hold a special moment in my past. The dollar value of each pop and collecting isn't really all that important to me. It's more about having mementos from certain things that are special to me.

If it's part of my main collection I will, but like others I've had to get a lot more selective over time. However, looking at how much I bought over the last 18 months, it doesn't seem like I've been too selective.

If its within my fandom, I more likely buy the common POP. The only exclusion if there is variation exclusive of the same mold

I used to buy a lot of commons but now with space being very limited, I'm very choosey with what I buy, but I do still buy some commons, if I really feel like I need them in my collection.

Absolutely I still only buy what I like doesn’t matter if it’s common or exclusive though some of those exclusives are getting harder and harder to acquire.

Depends on the piece sometimes the commons are better than exclusives, or sometimes tjeres only just the common piece and no exclusives, like the boxing legends Mike Tyson, Julio Cesar Chavez and Oscar de la Hoya, the only exclusive of the set is Ali Black and white

Def i still do. Especially if its a character played by an actor i like. If that is the case i typically buy all molds for that actor .

Yup definitely. If it's a great sculpt and character then the exclusivity doesn't matter. I do generally wait for commons to go on sale though.

I buy commons quite often! I love buying full common sets from various retailers and getting them all at the same time in one big box. Makes for good videos on our channel!

I still do, but the completist in me in some sub-lines like MCU and Star Wars - I tend to be very selective now mainly due to space contraints as well as too many small variances in the variants.

But in my main lines - I still buy all of them
