I agree on the great designs and how much the genre/category has expanded. It may be too late to make a line for my favorite anime, Food Wars, but I can only hope!

Agreed! I’m definitely ready for some recently released Anime Pops though, there are just so many new good ones! SpyxFamily, Frieren, Chainsaw Man are just a few I would love to add to my collection!

Even if Funko does Freddy or Franny as anime pops. Funko needs to add that head signature. If Freddy as Luffy happens. Freddy needs to wear a straw hat plus the crown or the straw hat hanging on his back

Yeah the headgear is really noticable on some of those pops

She's my fav so I'd end up getting as many as they put out! Lots of weapon types for different variants!

Luckily I’m not a big anime fan to where I collect the pops. But I still watch some of it. I would say they are releasing too many waaayyy toooo fast lol

Love the anime line the most. Just wish there were more anime lines other than the usual OP, Naruto, MHA. Like to see more newer/older ones Shield hero, Chainsaw Man, Darling in the Franxx.

With Funko Funimation being a thing, I’m really hoping this is the case. Funko has a lot of “retro” collectors in general (ad icons, old school cartoons, etc.). Seems there would the same niche to fill within the anime collecting community.

I feel like anime is the strongest pop category in general...my cousin pretty much only collects anime and Spiderman and his collection has appreciated so well over time. I wish I bought more of them but I am happy with the ones I did buy :cheers:

I think Anime always does well, but I'd advise against using it as any sort of investment. A couple years ago, DBZ were the hot anime pops, and then it was MHA and then One Piece. I feel One Piece is experiencing a great high right now, but I think oversaturation in the market is gonna cause collectoe fatigue and most of the prices will probably dip/crash.

Yes totally agree. I was excited for Funime month and the NFT cosplay drop was a nice addition. Yeah probably easier to start the sell path to 'retro' collectors since they've been in the collecting game for awhile. Fingers Crossed though!

I gotta give it to Funko, it seems like recently they’ve been trying to dig deep on more obscure characters with Some of their anime licenses and I honestly feel that’s the way to go. As much as I love the main characters, when I’m looking at a set I like to see a varied assortment of characters. Heck, I even think some of the best parts of collecting a set is when the obscure characters become rare in the set bc they aren’t the mains that have 100 diff variations,
