I love the detail in the Anime pops when you take them out of box. It’s like, how did they sculpt is so beautifully on a computer?

For the Spring 2024 season, I’d say My Hero Academia and Demon Slayer are the obvious choices. Brand new anime with no pops: Kaiju No. 8, Delicious in Dungeon, Go Go Loser Ranger? Current season anime with multiple seasons and no pops that are popular (and I’m biased toward) are: Jobless Reincarnation, Konosuba, Date A Live, That Time I was Reincarnated as a Slime. Haikyu just had a movie and Blue Lock has one coming up.

New anime or seasons from the last year if things were planned ahead? Jujutsu Kaisen is a big one. Spy X Family had a season and a movie. Frieren had a breakout season and overall one of the highest rated shows ever on MyAnimeList. Zom 100 started off hot when it released last summer. Maybe not extremely popular, but the MCs from Reborn as a Vending Machine would make a cool “left field” con exclusive, but I doubt it happens . The Scott Pilgrim anime had some buzz, but I haven’t heard much chatter about it since it released. Still seems like a candidate for pops.

Anime themed pops were always popular especially early 2010s with dbz. I feel like it died down a bit later because they kept using the same mold but different colors(ie all the chrome vegetas), but im glad to see the wide variety of anime nowadays. Hoping they do more freddy as anime characters since thats all i collect now.

With stuff like Nendoroid going up significantly in price there's definitely a lower range price point left vacant now. If you're into the big head style, Funko is perfect to step into that space.

I have a feeling they are going to cook for their SDCC pops this year. Demon Slayer, Dragonball, Naruto, One Piece are going to sell like crazy if they keep it up.
