SDCC ‘24 exclusives

Since I do not have PN, I am hoping to hit on the exclusive portal. Some really cool exclusives, but have three at the top of the list that I really want. Some are luckily shared exclusives, but always fun to experience the booth.

Overall happy with the reveals, about 15 pops we will be going for hopefully

Last year the itty Bitty's and the Soda's were in a separate booth that you didn't need a ticket for, might be the same for this year?

Oh my gosh, I completely forgot about that! Yeah, I really liked collecting them. I just got the Toucan red astronaut

Not strange at all. I got into collecting them out of the blue. Had to search for the 2 first ones they released and was hoping to keep going since it became in a way a staple of SDCC for me

On Can of Corn Freddy, anyone else notice it says 5k Limited Edition on the bottom left, and 9500 on the glam ?
Am I crazy for guessing 4,500 will be a giveaway for Fundays? 2750 spots a day for funday doesn't sound unreasonable either

Happy to see Walgreens got an exclusive and a pretty good one at that. They haven't had much around me in quite awhile. They can be hit or miss though for inventory and condition. Happy to see they're still in the Funko game.

As a Star Wars fan, I do love when Funko comes out with new characters (especially at cons!), but I’ve come to expect the norm will be different costumes/variations/poses of the same characters or updated versions of older Pops (Shrek, The Wizard of Oz, and Ghostface this year immediately come to mind).

I try to be content though as long as the molds and designs are well executed! For example, Elmo’s been made before but I actually love this year’s SDCC Elmo with Rocco! I think it’s cute and hilarious and I guess Rocco is a new character

I will say I think the SDCC Thrawn is a lazy variant of last year’s “Ahsoka” show Thrawn, BUT! that LE 3,000 Diamond Thrawn is pretty nice So as long as the variations are unique and they keep coming out with limited-piece figures, I’m still finding things to get excited about, and then whenever a new character drops that’ll just be extra special haha

I agree with everyone missing the Toucan I was never too interested in the past, but this will be my first year going to SDCC so I was hoping Funko would release a new one! I wonder if they’re gonna move away from the con mascots as they focus more on Freddy, Proto and Franny..

Speaking of Franny, I’m really thrilled about her and excited for the Frannys to come! That said, not trying to stir the pot too much, but I do feel like Funko’s really fallen into the gender stereotypes having Franny as a stewardess right out the gate and now a waitress whereas Freddy’s gotten to be a pilot and mayor! Even Proto’s been first officer and pizza maker
